Chapters include information on everything from choosing an RV to effective strategies for timeouts for misbehaving kids. Also covered is detailed information you need to consider BEFORE you plan your trip, budgeting; residency considerations; the emotional toll of leaving friends/family; etc. The section regarding the positives and negatives of the RV lifestyle is comprehensive and well-balanced. Also included are nitty gritty details for everyday RV life: i.e. emptying waste tanks; preventing dead batteries; homeschooling; how to have sex in cramped quarters...it's all here.
Somehow, Mr Robillard makes this plan sound not only doable but actually enjoyable. He makes a very strong case for giving up our 'worldly goods' and living on less to get more out of life. He presents a well rounded view of anything and everything you need to know if you want to RV and, although the book is RV-specific, much of the information would be beneficial to anyone planning on long-term travelling, especially with kids.
