A fine mustard, both sharp and sweet.

I had been getting this mustard for quite a while now then the store that had it was bought by a much larger store which dropped it along with many interesting items that probably weren't "general market" enough for them. Fortunately it's Amazon to the rescue as they have been for other items I have had difficulty finding lately. What's nice is you can get just one jar; in a few other cases I'd have to buy a whole case and that's a lot of anything.

On to the mustard itself. I keep a variety of mustards on hand because there are so many different kinds that go with different things. This mustard goes especially well with Swiss cheese and ham. It has curry, which is more of a British thing (there are some good British steak sauces with curry), but in this case it comes from Seattle.The curry gives the mustard an underlying earthiness and a bit of heat while the honey gives it a sweetness. It's still a piquant mustard however, not an ultra-sweet honeycup-style mustard. It ground to a fine grainy consistence It's made with extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar and water.

I find it really great though obviously from the reviews it's not everyone's favorite. The company makes several other mustards and I've tried a couple more but though they were good, this is the one I keep going back to.

So I love ground mustard, and I love black truffle, so I thought I'd love this. WRONG. I guess mustard and truffle just don't go well together, and it may be a personal taste thing, but EW. Not a good combo, at all. Had to spit it out.
I gave 2 stars because I like the company and packaging, but will stick with getting regular mustard from them.
