I normally don't leave reviews but did want to give some credit and a high rating for this product. We bought the pick punch last week because my daughter was running for student council at her high school and she wanted to give out guitar picks along with the slogan "PICK ME for student council". All three of my children play guitar, so I figured it would be a good investment.

It arrived in the mail and within 2 days we had cut out over 200 guitar picks! It cut perfectly even on thicker plastic. The punch was durable, easy to use, and felt like it was high quality. The kit DID include a few sheets of plastic (enough to cut about 20 picks), but we used mostly plastic gift cards from places like Target and Walmart so the picks would have a variety of patterns and textures. They were such a hit that we had to cut 200 more! Within a weeks time, the punch had cut over 400 guitar picks and is still going strong. My daughter took it to her guitar class yesterday and all the students cut even more.

I highly recommend this product and already feel that I've gotten my money's worth. It would have cost hundreds of dollars to purchase that many guitar picks. It's a good investment.

When it comes to guitar pick cutters The Pick Cutter is my pick for the best pick cutter of guitar picks. There may be other guitar pick cutters out there (take your pick, there's several pick cutters to pick from), but no pick cutter cuts picks as well as The Pick Cutter - it's a cut above the rest of the cutters! If The Pick Cutter had been available to Peter Piper, he would have picked The Pick Cutter to cut a peck of guitar picks instead of picking a peck of pickled peppers, because you can't pluck a guitar with a picked pepper.

I got this product as a bit of a novelty, and to be honest it works BETTER than I thought it would!
First of all, I received the punch very quickly after buying and it was well packaged.

The punch itself is very solid and is clearly well built. The punching action is nice and smooth. The picks it punches out are a great shape and size and have nice clean edges.
One of the best things about this punch in particular is that it comes with a bonus plastic card you can use to make picks straight away. The plastic card I got was white, which I think is great as I drew a few doodles on the card before punching.

Overall it is a solid punch that is easy and surprisingly fun to use (kind of gets addictive lol). Highly recommended!

I gave this as a gift, and he loves, loves, loves it!! He cut one out of a small clear box, that' looks great. He also cut one from an old drivers license, using the holographic section. Really cool.

Some guitar players collect picks, some lose picks and others lend them out so they run out at strange times. I gave this to my brother to keep in his gear bag. It has bailed him out a number of times. Really converts any plastic you choose into a standard shaped pick with just a push of the handle. Well constructed and durable.

This puncher works fine. It would be better if it came with instructions. I slid the plastic in to try it out and it wouldn't cut all around through. Then I figured out that the shiny part of the plastic has to be facing down. I haven't tried using old gift cards if it will cut them. It is easier to use it by stepping on it with your foot rather than by hand.

I bought this mostly for the novelty of it. I've only made about a dozen picks so far (3 from the included piece of plastic and then the rest from various old credit cards and gift cards).

The cuts are surprisingly clean. You might want to sand the picks a bit, but it's not a requirement. Every pick I punched was immediately usable.

I like that I can have picks with different designs (or my own designs if I choose). One thing I liked about picks made from credit cards is if you get some numbers or letters in the thumb part of the pick, it gives you a pleasant tactile gripping surface to better hold the pick.

I've now got my eye out for plastic sources that would be suitable for picks.

Can only share my personal experience which admittedly doesn't seem to be consistent with most of the other reviewers. This was money down the drain for me. After only a handful of uses, in the rare event the cutter actually made it's way through a piece of plastic the picks it produced were rough around the edges. More often than not however, the cutter simply wasn't able to muster the gumption to slice through the plastic. Not to worry as the documentation mentioned a warranty of some sort (if memory serves me, a lifetime warranty). Problem here is locating any sort of actual company associated with the product.
