These poop bags by My Alphapet are conveniently packaged in a box and on rolls with a core that fit regular dispensers.

They are large size 9 x 13 inches so big enough to hold poop from big dogs and have a star sealed base that adds extra layers of bag between your hand and the poop.

They are certified to EN13432 and ASTMD6400 and made from cornstarch, they will rot away unlike other brands that sell EPI plastic bags.

I love these bags. It’s difficult to find decent compostable poop bags (seriously, how is it even still legal to make plastic disposable anything??).

These are large, sturdy, and they don’t begin to dissolve if you look at them wrong... or from humidity. It’s so infuriating trying to open up most compostable poop bags if they’ve ever been exposed to just a little humidity in the air, they seal shut immediately and/or tear and puncture. Which is not what you want to be dealing with when you have a fresh pile of turd in front of you and two dogs eager to keep walking! No poop party is a good poop party.

I live in Texas and have been using this brand for about a year now. We’ve just passed through the main chunk of our rainy season and they’ve still held up like a charm. The only reason for knocking off a star was because I bought the rose scent out of desperation once (the regular was out of stock), and although it smelled good (a natural rose scent: one of my favorites), it was super powerful and gave me a headache. I hardly made it through a few bags before I had to return the package and use stand-in cheaper bags while I waited for the regular ones to be back in stock. I am aware some people have stated that the Rose scent is delicate, and while it is a delicate scent, it’s a powerful dose of said delicate scent. Though I do have a sensitive nose and we’re all different, so it may work well for you. I also tend to prefer unscented things when it comes to poo and garbage of all varieties: poop bags, toilet paper, garbage bags, bathroom sprays, etc... you just end up with floral scented grossness, so then every time you smell that smell again, it becomes synonymous with poo, not with the pleasant smell it started out as.

Rambles aside: BUY THESE BAGS! Just preferably in the green unscented variety. ;)

The ‘rose’ smell was super over powering when you open the packaging but then doesn’t last when you use the bag to scoop. It smells like old potpourri. The sticker also is an issue when you go to open a new roll, always end up with a hole in the first bag.

These bags are so great for what they cost and the benefit for the environment. I searched a lot for bags that didn't contain any plastic and these are great. I got the scented bags because they were available for next day delivery...I'll definitely be getting the unscented next time. The rose smell is just a little to strong and it's not really necessary to have a scent. The bags open easy. Lots of people complain about the sticker ripping the first bag, If your tear the sticker starting at the opening of the first bag and just don't keep ripping it you can still use the first bag just with a little chunk missing from the opening and a sticker on the side. Totally worth making the switch to these to help the environment with keeping the park clean and the landfills clear, too!

In my effort to practice environmental consciousness and to use products that do minimum damage to the planet, I am trying a number of different "must haves". Obviously, poop bags are a necessity as most urban and suburban areas have pooper scooper laws. (These can also be used to discard cat litter box droppings!) This box contains 120 bags (what the information on the label refers to as a 2-month supply, but of course that depends on how many dogs you have and how many times you take them out and also that there are no unforeseen "accidents"). The bags tear easily off the roll; there are 8 rolls in the box, and the bags are lightly scented with rose, which is nice.They are advertised as "containing no polyethylene plastic" and are "compostable", and I hope they are. Not sure if the box is recycled paper but the product is made in China, so next time I will look for bags produced in the US by US workers.

These bags are awesome. I live in the city and need to pick up every poop, every day. Using 100% cornstarch bags helps me feel better about my impact on the environment. Sure, they cost more money. It takes money to own and care for a pet. I think the cost of the pollution caused by all the regular plastic bags I have used in the past is far greater. Help cut petroleum waste from contaminating our landfills. These Compostable Poop Bags work great. I put the used bags into a covered bucket in my yard for up to a week until trash day. They do not leak or begin to break down. I haven't noticed any odor, even in the summer. The little label on the first bag of each roll can be a bit difficult to remove, but the bag doesn't rip and the bags tear off the roll nicely. The bags are softer and more flexible than plastic bags,easy to tie a knot in, and I actually like the rose scent. I usually hate anything with an added fragrance, but these are pleasant. I am a repeat customer and will continue to buy unless I find another cornstarch product at a much better price.
