Because sometimes our pets carbon paw print can be as large as ours my AlphaPet Premium cornstarch based Pet Waste Bags are not just coloured green they are green.

Made from cornstarch and other bio based proprietary components (PBAT) they are ASTM D6400 Certified (USA) EN13432 Certified (EU)

The bag and the box MUST carry the STAMP TO CONFORM to either Vincotte or BPI standards Because they are cellulose vegetable based they an excellent alternative to regular polyethylene plastic bags .

These poop bags are conveniently packaged in a box and on rolls with a core made from cardboard that fits regular dispensers they are large size 9 x 13 inches so big enough to hold poop from big dogs and have a star sealed base that adds extra layers of bag between your hand and the poop. Great for those days when your dog has been eating something he shouldn’t have.

They are bigger and at 20microns thicker than our competitors tougher and totally leak-proof keeping contents and odor inside. The bags are scent free have a silky feel yet are durable and tear proof and don't stick to each other making them easy to separate. For dogs cats cleaning out the kitty litter box.

Easy to use and environmental friendly

I've been using My AlphaPet Dog Poop Bags for my Shih-Tzu for over a year now and have been very satisfied with them. Unlike many other brands, these bags are easy to open for use when my dog goes - who wants to stand there frustrated trying to open a poop bag to pick up the poop! I chose this brand knowing that the bags are compostable, even down to the core, despite them being a bit on the expensive side. Additionally, I like these bags because they are unscented, but that is a personal preference. The only two small inconveniences I've noticed when I started using these bags were that (1) sometimes the sticker on the new roll tears the first bag when being removed and (2) the size of a new roll is slightly too big for my poop bag holder. The roll size issue can be easily overcome by pulling off the first new bag before installing into the bag holder. And, the new box of rolls I received recently did not have the sticker tearing the first bag issue. I've tried other "environmentally friendly" poop bags in between My AlphaPet bags and discovered that the other brands were not compostable at all (only the core of the roll). I've had my Shih-Tzu for 15 years and have used many many poop bags in this time. Overall, these are great bags that I can consciously use with the environment in mind.

Hope the My AlphaPet can make these thicker and sturdier in the future. We really hate using plastic bags, especially from manufacturers that claim their bags are compostable and don't explain that composting takes human intervention and the right conditions to decompose (vs. biodegradable which does not).
You may need to double bag w/these - but if we find another company making cornstarch or other biodegradable bags we will switch to try asap.

The best pet bag I've bought

I was a little worried when I ordered these bags. I've bought other bags made out of plant material in the past, and they were junk. They would tear if you looked at them wrong, and heaven forbid you put too much litter in them or caught the side of the bag with the scoop. So honestly, I expected to have to send these back. I was pleasantly surprised, though.

We have two cats and two boxes. Typically we scoop twice a day, but this past week has been crazy and we've only been scooping once a day. I figured, okay, trial by fire. These bags stood up to it and then some.

It was a little tricky getting the sticker that holds the roll closed off, but that's the case with every pet bag I've bought. I was able to get it off cleanly, which is something I often can't do with any other brand I've bought (compostable or not).

The bags opened really easily, which was great. I feed my cats first, then scoop their boxes in the evening, so I was always annoyed when I couldn't open a bag and then would have to go wash my hands so I could lick my fingers to get the bag open. So, while it seems like a small thing, the fact that the bags opened right up is huge for me.

I was also surprised by how sturdy the bags felt. They were thicker even than the plastic ones I used to buy at the store. And they held everything in the boxes easily. I was never worried the bag would tear, nor did I have to worry about there being enough room. Everything fit and I was still able to easily tie the bag off.

Plus, kind of silly bonus, but it matters to me: the design on the bags themselves is super cute.

I don't have dogs, so I don't know how these will hold up for them, but these are great for cats.

Stop with the stickers, and it's five stars

When we got our dog, I started reading how non-degradable bags were going to make me a environmental war criminal, up there with coffee pod and disposable diaper people, so I decided I would get some.

I'm pretty impressed with the quality, and what you can turn bio materials into these days. What a world we live in. I no longer feel like the thing I pick up with the bags over my environmental footprint. Go me.

My lost star is to how they are packaged. This sturdy yet not plastic grade material is prone to ripping. About 100% of those rips come from tearing the stupid sticker they use to hold the first bag to the roll you need surgical level precision to remove.

Great bioplastic bags!

These bags are amazing! First and foremost, they are made out of plant products (e.i. they are biodegradable!) which it is awesome itself! (less plastic in this planet!). That is enough reason to buy them... but also, they are easy to open (I have had some bags that cannot be opened quickly enough and I do not like that). Also, the size is perfect. I read some bad reviews about te size of the bags (people complained about the folded bottom), but the size is more than perfect, even for big wastes to pick up. Some other people complained about the sticker on the first bag of each roll (seriously?). They expressed some concerns because the tip of the bag get ripped when you try to take off the sticker... However, I have been using these bags a lot and only one sticker ripped the upper edge of the first bag... so what? It was only ONE bag from the roll and it was still functional... The bags are amazing and I hope people start buying more and more bioplastic bags like these.
