This book is exquisite--you could buy it for the excellent photography, but there's so much more to it. Wonderfully written, the aussie author shares some background info on how she came to live in Positano, Italy. From there, it just gets better.

The book is divided into sections for each town along the Amalfi Coast, giving inside information about what to see, where to dine, etc for each town. This is important because no matter what town you choose to stay in when you go to the Amalfi Coast, you'll have easy access to all the other towns via the local SITA bus. And, the information is accompanied by beautiful photos of each town.

This book is not only a great, plan-ahead guide book, but it's "coffee-table" size makes you want to keep it on display year-round, long after you've gone to Amalfi and returned.

I've got a library full of books...and this one impressed the heck out of me! Buy it, buy it, buy it!

My Amalfi Coast is a wonderful book with incredibly beautiful photography and very engaging text both about the life of the author (who lived in Positano for 18 years) and about the series of unique towns which dot the amalfi coast. I recommend it very highly.

I purchased this book because we had just returned from the Amalfi Coast in Italy. It is a beautiful story about a woman who fell in love with the Amalfi Coast. The pictures are breathtaking. Everytime I pick the book up I am reminded of the beauty of this coastline and the people we met there.

I love this, a personal insider's look at the Amalfi coast. Lots of useful information combined with a good narrative about her experiences and introduction to the culture and lifestyle of Amalfi. There're a lot of good insights about what to see, do and eat. I purchased this in the Kindle edition and it was great, easy to read and you can get a close-up of the stunning photos by clicking on them. Highly recommended.

About 6 years ago I picked up an original hard back of this book, which was purchased in a little market in Praiano, a city next to Positano. My heart gets butterfly's every time I open this book. The photographs are just stunning, and capture the very essence of Amalfi Coast. Take Amanda Taberrar's word for it, she gives you all the information to enjoy your stay and so much more. One of my favorite books.

This book offers beautiful images on the inside that match the captivating ones on the cover. Each tells a story of the people and the country. Read the text and it becomes a great primer for seeing the area from a local's perspective. Don't miss the section on Vietri and the tales about artists, families, and history. Rich with personal detail, this book is like settling in with an Italian local. Read it with a simple Italian wine and a candle burning somewhere, then make your travel plans.
