Prescription drug addiction is a destructive problem in so many lives, but is seldom talked about. The doctors prescribing the medications and the pharmaceutical companies that are making them should to be watched more closely and held accountable for making these dangerous drugs so readily available to those who might be inclined or tempted to abuse the prescriptions and/or work the system unnoticed.
For those of us interacting with friends and family who might be secretly abusing their prescriptions, it's difficult to know what to do, especially with the crafty ways the addict hides the problem and pretends nothing is wrong. This book is one step toward creating the awareness needed to inspire some action toward preventing this type of addiction.
