"I loved Maid For Me and Maid For Me Too, so when I saw that this novella was out, I just had to read it because I knew it was going to be as good as the previously mentioned books, and I was right; I loved it!...I liked the witty remarks and sarcastic comments of both Sara and Ian, they always had me laughing out loud."- Karla

"Just finished reading "My Cup of Tea" and I was pleasantly surprised! It's a romcom that will be sure to make you laugh at times and feel the romance blossoming at the end! My only complaint is that the romance is too short, and the heroine is a bit typical and cliche... But I loved it! I can't wait for the sequel! I sacrificed studying time for my final to read this!"- Angie

From the Author

During my unpaid maternity leave, I took care of my newborn, Philly, slept two hours a day, and wrote MY CUP of TEA while Philly slept. I'm surprised that I haven't zombified yet. I guess it's because writing is more invigorating than caffeine. To others, a writer's world is a lonely place. To me, it's a fantastic, colorful, and addictive realm. It's a place that melts my stress away, a place where I can breathe.

I had so much fun writing My Cup of Tea. It's a new adult romantic comedy about a nerdy pastry chef, Sara, who falls for her badass, rich boy boss, Ian. Sara lost her mother at the age of ten to breast cancer. In memory of her mother, Sara creates a best-selling cupcake at Ian's failing bakery, calling it the Olivia in memory of her mother. During the entire month of October 2014, 50% of the profits from this book's sales will go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure ®. As a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and Doctor of Physical Therapy, I've treated hundreds of patients with breast cancer and have a special place in my heart for them. Let me know your thoughts. Happy reading to all!

When I started reading My Cup of Tea I had forgotten that it was going to be a two part story. I was going to wait until the second part came out to read this one, but then I started reading it and got to the end like man...if I want to see what happens I need to wait for the second book to come out.

This story was a nice short story, though the very end annoyed me a little bit. Sara is a kind of goofy, clumsy, 18 year old. She meets Ian and is instantly attracted to him, though she doesn't really like him. He was kind of a jerk the first time they met so...then she gets the opportunity of her life to work in his bakery as the pastry chef!

When Ian first meets Sara he finds her amusing. There is something about her that draws him to her, but he is still hung up on his girlfriend who died a year ago. He is not ready to move on. Then he finds out her name is Sara. His girlfriend who died was Sarah with an h so he is a bit spooked. He still gets closer to her working at the bakery until he realizes that he has a crush on her. This is the first time since Sarah died that he has felt like this. He didn't think he would ever move on from Sarah.

So they both have the same name right? So I guess a spoiler for the very end is next. Sarah and Sara sound the same. I mean when Sara told Ian her name the first time the blood drained from his face. He was spooked. So they must say it the same. Really I tried saying them differently, but couldn't figure out how you would. Anyway Ian kisses her once, but then he said I missed you which obviously hurt Sara. I mean she was in to the kissing and then he seems like he is thinking of Sarah. So the next day she is sick and Ian ends up bringing her back to his place to make sure she is okay.

I didn't hate the story. I like how things developed and turned out. There were very little cliches and the characters were more diverse than usual, which is great. However none of the characters feel real to me. There isn't enough depth to them. They aren't unique if you discount their exterior. As a result I could never get into the book. So even though the plotline was at least four stars, I took away two stars for all the 2d characters and a Mary Sue protagonist.

As a baker I really appreciated this book. I could literally feel the excitement Sara felt when creating something new or having people try out what she has made. That being said, while I found this book to be very good, it was not as captivating as I felt it could be. It was highly predictable but that does not mean I still did not enjoy it. It;s just when something new was presented, I knew what would happen before I even turned the page. Sara seems nice and spunky and I cannot wait to see where her tension with the posed romantic hero will lead to.

I really enjoyed My Cup Of Tea. It's a lighthearted and fun romance, one of those that just keeps you moving through the pages. As you're reading, you just want to keep turning the page to see what will happen next. The book was the perfect size, there was enough there for me to truly enjoy it. If you love romance, with a whole lot of real-world funny, you'll love My Cup Of Tea.

I adored My Cup of Tea: Summer of Love. It's a perfect easy read that will leave you laughing and smiling afterwards. It follows the lives of Sara and Ian as fate brings together in unlikely circumstances following their haunted pasts.

The very first chapter of the book had me hooked. I was laughing at Sara's antics from the start. She is a wonderful character and I connect with her so easily. (And I love her name. I'm a sucker for the name Sara!) I cannot wait to see her grow as the series continues. Kat Lieu did a flawless job at establishing who Sara is without piling on too much information too soon. Ian, the object of Sara's attention, is the other main character in the story. His cockiness was prevalent, but it served it's purpose in laying the groundwork for his character.

The book switches between Sara and Ian's point of views, and I enjoyed this part immensely. Being able to view the characters from a different perspective enhanced my appreciation and understanding of them. Some books I've read in the past have failed at executing this, but again, Kat was flawless with it.

Quick side note, the layout of this book had me drooling. The cover is gorgeous. The cupcake pictures that accompany each chapter left me hungry!

The cliffhanger at the end is brutal, but I'll definitely be seeking out the next book in the series to follow along with Sara and Ian's lives. Without a doubt, I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys an easy, fun read. I'm already eyeing the other books published by Kat Lieu!

**I was gifted this book for free in exchange for an honest review. My thanks to the author and/or publisher.

I am so ticked because I thought this was a complete book not a series of books, it is so good and I want a HEA, now I have to wait to find out how it ends and that ticks me off because I got really invested in the story and I like the characters but an incomplete story totally bites.
