- Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2020Education is key. Kids today are being brainwashed that gun owners in America are all out to get you. Nothing can be further from the truth. All types of people from all different walks of life legally carry and use firearms for many different reasons. My Dadd Has A Gun And My Mom Does Too! tackles that idea. It shows a vast palate of people who are embedded in the American Gun Culture and why they use different types of guns in their daily life.
I highly recommend this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2020This is a great book to get your kid talking about how guns are a part of our everyday life. Not every gun out there is an AR-15. Not every gun owner is a fat old white guy. Not every gun is dangerous (toy guns are everywhere). Kids get a chance to see different guns in different contexts and parents get a chance to talk about lots of different topics besides "guns are bad" or "guns are good". Great book!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2020Rob Pincus knows his stuff, but little is shared in this book. Covers everyone who might own a gun and how they might use them. From pistol, rifle, bb, and squirt gun spread from Grandpa to little sister. It might serve as a discussion starter, but, the content is pretty simplistic. A glaring omission is the 4 basic rules of gun safety. I wrote them on the clear page at the start of the book to reinforce them as I read the book with my grandchildren.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2020Great awareness book for the child safety
- Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2020My book arrived with the first 6 pages printed upside down, with the rest being correct. It makes it fairly difficult to read with your child.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2022Nice illustrations, easy read while being fun and entertaining for younger children. Great way to introduce them to firearms and the safety that comes with them.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 3, 2020This is a good way to start the conversation with your kids, I just wish there was more to it. It seems like it's more of a political posturing guide than gun safety, which was odd. My 5 year old doesn't vote.
