I really enjoyed Dom & Heidi's story. I actually read books 2 & 3 in this series before reading book 1. The books can be read as stand-alone books, but i enjoyed coming back to get the whole story.
Heidi has just moved to Boston to grow her consulting business. A few times in the last couple of weeks she's been in Boston, she's heard noises coming from her neighbor's apartment. Sex noises, screams, paddling, all the fun stuff. She tries really hard not to listen to them. She swears that the only reason she's listening is that she wants to make sure that women are OK. She isn't shutting her window because it's too stuffy if the window's shut. Really. That's the reason. It's not because it sounds really hot. Nope.
Dom the Dominant is always trying to find someone who is in it for the kink. He's not looking for a full-time relationship, let alone a full-time sub. He's more of a hit it and quit it kind of guy. Then he meets Heidi, and there's just something about her.
I liked this story. The caring that Dom has for Heidi is really obvious. He's totally focused on her and what he can do to take care of her and keep her safe. I thought that this was a great intro into the rest of the series, and a good way for us to get into that world.
Heidi is a strong professional woman which makes this story all the more alluring. It is wonderful to see this kind of dynamic work out so successfully between strong women and men who have a solid loving foundation.
Every woman should be lucky enough to find their own Dom.
