When your world is turned upside down by traumatic brain injury in the blink of an eye, what happens next? How do you wake up every morning and continue to push forward when the odds seem to be stacked against you? How can you find that ray of sunshine on your darkest days? Fighting off the negative, and holding on to the positive is a daily challenge. I hope that my experiences and lessons learned can shed some light on the "hidden injury."

As a military veteran who volunteers countless hours to help other veterans suffering I thought I knew the mind of a TBI survivor. I was very wrong. This is a wonderful wonderful book. I laughed and I cried... A lot. It's a must read for anyone that knows anyone that has a TBI.

This book is incredible. Michael Kline is a very special man who has dealt with many obstacles in his life. He is very strong willed man and a deep desire to live and to help others. He is a personal friend of ours in our town. It is an honor to make his acquaintance and to call him our friend.

A great story, it really gives readers a look in the life and the struggles of someone with a brain injury. This can open the eyes of people who are unaware or people that don't understand how complex and severe it really is.

This book has been a privilege to read. Having a son with a severe Traumatic Brain Injury, it has helped me look into the mind of the survivor and understand more. I would recommend this book to all, especially if someone you know has suffered a TBI or even if it is yourself. Compassion and understanding are key to helping support those living with TBI and can only be done through awareness and education. This book is a great insight to those wishing to learn more. Kuddos to the author for having the courage and conviction to share such personal thoughts.
