Despite thier political and idealogical differences, Ron Reagan and his father shared a wonderful bond unique to a father and son. Sometimes at odds but always within the bonds of and mutual respects the relationship. Ron Reagan vividly details his fathers early life and aspirations while growing up in Dixon, Illinois. The book moves quickly and holds your attention - I really enjoyed the ending. Of particular interest was Reagan's Irish ancestry and their eventual immigration to the United states. I would recommend this book for people of all political pursausions. The story is about a son's search for who his father really was; what motivated him, his love of football, and love for his family - and concludes with a moving tribute of a son's love and respect for his famous father 'Dutch' Reagan.
