I like the setup, with words grouped onto pages based upon themes. It's definitely aimed at kids, with topics such as "At the ice cream shop", and "imagination words" (some common story book words) joining the more usual fare ("at school", "family"). I was a bit disappointed in the coverage of numbers, in which numbers jump directly from twenty to one hundred to one thousand. I also do not agree with some of the pronunciations. However, I was quite pleased to find the alphabetical index in the back, with both English to Spanish, and Spanish to English lists of the words in the book. Overall, I found it to be a fun, engaging, helpful picture dictionary for children beginning Spanish.

I love the pronunciation guide since I myself speak only intermediate Spanish (my husband is fluent). We plan to use this with our two year old as he grows up in a bilingual household. Nice big pictures and print also. The only downside is that is grouped by topic instead of an alphabetical listing.

I bought this for the students in our Literacy program as an end of the year gift for their hard work. It was so well received. The pictures are distinct and well labeled, just enough to a page and very well organized throughout the book in catagories like families, downtown, colors etc. It is a great resource not only for English to Spanish but Spanish to English.

I recently went to visit a brother and sister who speak and read only Spanish and wanted to bring them a gift to share in addition to the individual gifts I brought. They both have expressed interest in learning English previously. I found this book on Amazon and it fit the bill completely. It has a easy to wipe-off cover and bright, colorful, illustrated pages. The words are pictured and written in English and Spanish plus phonetically. The book kept them occupied for hours and it was very easy for them to figure out the pronunciation. This is a beautiful book.

I got this book for my niece who has been asking how to say things in Spanish. She and I love to look up everyday words in this book and the pictures make it very easy for her to find exactly what she'd like to interpret.

Love this book. Any book with lots of pictures when it comes to foreign languages are good to me. I have learned lots of vocabulary and remember it a day later. If you learn visually this book works great. Sturdy condition and came quickly in mail. THanks!
