I love this book! The pictures hold the attention of my 2 month old, and the stories are really well written. They all rhyme and I find myself really enjoying reading them out loud to my baby. Plus it has a lot of stories to keep it interesting. Would definitely recommend buying this. Will probably be buying another one for my niece as well.

Bought this book for my grandkids - age 3-5 and was pleasantly surprised. This sturdy board book is perfect for small hands and the illustrations are great. However, the best part is the story content. Each of the 20 Bible stories is told in rhyming verse that is easy to understand and entertaining for little minds.
Would be great for Sunday school too. Love it and am glad I bought a copy for Grandma to keep at my house too.

I liked this colorful board book that has 20 bible story illustrations. The author says these are to build a Great Big Faith on; I think he’s right. I liked how he goes about telling amazing faith building stories which include bible references so you can go deeper – depending on the age of the child.

Each story starts out with the phrase, “My great big God…” then it has about 8 rhyming stanza’s to depict the story and then it ends with “My Great Big God --“Made Everything”, Same line but the last words change for every story.

Here’s a sample “keeps me safe…” –Made me” - …”Guides me!”….”has a plan for me”…”makes big things happen.” All these statements say that we have a great big God who cares for me personally and in many different ways. He’s not too big to care.

After the story about when Jesus goes to the cross the story title is, “A Great Big Job.” And the last line is “My Great Big God Wants Me to be His Helper!”

The author encourages readers to go out and tell others about what Jesus did for us. Show His love to others. Be an encourager.

I liked the stories and the way this was laid out. This is soon to be a family favorite at bed time.

The book, My Great Big God, by Andy Holmes is a board book perfect for toddlers. This book is about 1 inch in width and appears to be sturdy enough for many readings as young children love for their parents to read the same stories over and over to them sometimes.

The Great Big God book contains 20 different poems based on events on the Bible such as Noah and the ark, the wall of Jericho, Daniel and the lion's den, Samson and his strength, David and Goliath, Jonah and the whale, and Jesus' life. These poems are short, engaging, educating, and very appealing to youngsters. Above each poem is a bible verse where the story of each poem can be found.

The book ends with its last poem, which I was very impressed with. This poem wasn't about a Biblical event but about the calling that Christians have. It encourages the audience to go out and make a positive difference in the world- to let their light shine.

I love this book- I love the vibrant and bold illustrations as much as the poems. I feel this is the perfect biblical book for young people. It would make a wonderful birthday, Christmas, Easter, or any occasion gift. If you would like to purchase it, you can do so here.

My Great Big God is written by Andy Holmes. This book is composed of twenty of the most loved stories in the Bible. These stories show children the character of God. Children will be able to see God doing the things that we should do and help Each story is told in rhymes that children love. At the end of each story there is a main point for children to remember. It is a simple sentence that is easy for children to say: "My great big God has a plan for me", "My great big God hears me when I pray".

This book is a hard bound book with board pages that can withstand many readings and lots of children handling it. The illustrations by Maria Alvarez Miguens are bright and beautiful. I loved reading through this book. My daughter loves this book and is simple enough for her to read and understand. She has read and reread this many times.
