I’m really enjoying My Hero Academia and I’ll disclose that when I first heard about it I had no interest and passed on it until I kept hearing so much that I broke down and started watching it. I thought “looks too corny, looks stupid, just another hero show”… is it corny? Absolutely but in such a way that it works very well. Is it stupid? It can be but in a way that makes it funny when it needs to be. Is it just another hero show? No way! Seriously some of the quirks are corny and it can seem stupid but it’s a super well balanced show. It has cool fights, it has serious moments, it has comedy, it has great characters with some good development and relationships. Deku is an unbelievably good main character, I mean compared to the likes of Goku and Naruto, Deku as a character is in a league of his own. Deku is really one of the most well done main characters out there, he’s got a tangible realism to him and in the world of “underdog main characters” especially he’s perfectly done. All the characters are great though. This season really focuses on a select few though and Kirishima really shines this season. Things are still amping up and there’s some tough stuff that happens in this season. One thing they do a really good job of is making the fights intense and “drawn out” without feeling “drawn out”. For instance the before mentioned series’s of Dragon Ball Z and Naruto have fights that become repetitive, predictable, and almost a chore to watch but here I have never felt that way, tides turn but it’s usually a “I’ve got to do this and give it all I got” instead of a Goku “ok now that I’m about to die it’s time for me to actually try” which is pretty stupid to me. I am very interested to see how this Endeavor situation turns out but it looks like it’s gonna be pretty awesome with Endeavor making changes. If this season had a little more Dark Shadow it woulda been all it needed to be a little better.

物語としては、前半が超シリアス展開で後半は文化祭♪
毎度の事ですが、OVAが収録されていないのが残念無念ではあるものの、コンパクトでお安いのは有り難いです。
シーズン5もコンプリート版で出てくれる事を期待して待ってます。
