About the Author

Kohei Horikoshi was born in Aichi, Japan, in 1986. He received a Tezuka Award Honorable Mention in 2006, and following the publication of several short stories in Akamaru Jump, his first serialized work in Weekly Shonen Jump was Oumagadoki Zoo in 2010. My Hero Academia is his third series in Weekly Shonen Jump.

Caleb Cook is a translator of Japanese media with a focus on manga and art books.

He studied Japanese language and translation at Dartmouth College and abroad at Kanda Gaigo Daigaku in Chiba, Japan. He then spent two years living and working as an English teacher in Miyagi, Japan before returning to the U.S.

As a professional translator, he works with publishers Viz Media, Yen Press, and Udon Entertainment on a wide range of titles such as "MY HERO ACADEMIA," "DR. STONE," "DRAGON BALL SUPER," "YOWAMUSHI PEDAL," "HELL'S PARADISE: JIGOKURAKU," "OTHERWORLDLY IZAKAYA NOBU," and others.

I’ve enjoyed the spin offs of the MHA series so far! Looking forward to this one (currently waiting for it to be delivered)! The artwork looks great! For new manga readers, this book is set in traditional Japanese reading format—it reads from back to front, right to left. Will update on further comments once my copy arrives.Update: My copy arrived and I LOVE this volume! The artwork is great and the one shot stories add some fun and extra depth to the characters! I was smiling during the entire volume! This is my favourite of the spin off titles yet! I can’t wait for the next one!

If you love My Hero Academia you'll like this obviously, but this give a bit more out of our favorite students and heroes with unusual pairing and side jobs that are connected to the main story. I love when I can get more insight to my favorite characters. Thing is the first two match up where easily guessed right away but still all the more enjoyable seeing them work together and problem solving situations when they arise. I wished that I could see some other students team up more though because there are many side characters that could finally have their time with a mission or who in this kinda book but maybe I'll get that in the next book this was a good start into it. Overall really enjoyed this and look forward to seeing more.
