"I love to surround myself with people who challenge me. Those rare souls who endure and persist and eventually find a way to overcome seemingly impossible odds with determination and focus as they ignite something unique and special inside us. Prepare to add Nancy to your list of champions. Her story is likely to destroy your excuses and procrastinations and inspire you to serve, build, and grow, starting now. From my perspective, this book is not "Nancy and Steve's story of tragedy and triumph." It's far more. To me, it's a finely tuned weapon of spiritual warfare that our Father has been sharpening ("on the anvil" to borrow a phrase from Lucado) for quite some time now - and it's about to do some serious damage in the spiritual realm."

About the Author
While fighting the diseases of fibromyalgia and celiac for almost 40 years, Nancy Alexander, a dreamer, teacher, public speaker, and entrepreneur, found hope just when she thought there was none left. She discovered her God-given talent of creating unique wreaths becoming a well-known master wreath designer, now having sold many thousands of wreaths all over the world. Nancy’s newly published memoirs in April, 2017, My Journey Through Fibromyalgia: Rumors, Ravages & The Rescue, is a heart-wrenching life story about her battle with fibromyalgia. An author of instructional and business books, Nancy’s latest wreath design book, Make Your Own Wreaths: For Any Occasion in Any Season was published in July, 2016. Thousands of copies sold very quickly as her followers and students learned Nancy’s own unique style of wreath design. This woman from Anderson, South Carolina, realized early on that God’s plans for her life were more than she could imagine. The path she walked, along with the illnesses that went undiagnosed for years, led her to ladies just like herself who desperately needed help. Many lives have been changed through Nancy’s sincere desire to help these ladies develop their own God-given gifts. She enjoys encouraging and teaching members of her private community, Nancy’s Inner Circle: www.NancysInnerCircle.com. Finding joy and hope restored in their lives again, these ladies love learning from Nancy. Utilizing Nancy’s many how-to books and videos, her students can create beautiful designs — giving them a reason to want to get out of bed each morning. You can read more about Nancy on her website, www.LadybugWreaths.com, and her blog, www.NancysInnerCircle.com. Nancy is grateful for the saving power of God as He leads her to help others fulfill their own dreams just as she has. Nancy’s other books can be accessed here: www.NancyAlexanderBooks.com.

I felt so many emotions while engrossed in every page, from frustration, fear and hopelessness to anger and bitterness over things that should not have been then to relief, love and joy as the aftermath of such a devastating, debilitating disease finally started getting answers and healing.
While reading this book I wondered how I would have handled or reacted to each situation and the devastating pain of body and mind. I really doubted that I could have survived any of that.
I am so glad that Nancy Alexander was brave enough to put her life on paper and shared it with everyone. It proves with God, all things really are possible. We can overcome all odds with God’s grace and with the patience, determination and love that He has given us. Her story has certainly proven that and will help so many who think they can’t make it through another day.

I, too, have Celiac and fibromyalgia, (among other health issues) and I found many parallels between Nancy and myself.
I agree the patient needs to be his or her own advocate in finding the best options for their own health issues. I'm glad the author found relief for her pain, but each case is unique to each patient.
A very informative read.
