Christina is a Green Peace activist that takes her job to change the world and find another way serious! Ty Mcareer tells his to stop by and just relax. Heath agrees . But, with gets to Ty'see ranch of lounge around pool and relax, when he sees Christina studing in the kitchen. She looks like the activist who had him thrown in jail with pictures she took of a fight between the 2 parties . All he could see of her in Alaska . He just knew it was her. He asked her if she'd taken any good pictures? She counters with how was your time in jail? So it was her!! Heath wears her down by helping in the kitchen, folding laundry by just being nice . Their road for them rocky to say the least. They get caught by the whole house. Her mother, and Ty who hadn't said a thing, give Heath a discusseded look and walked away .
Thints started to turn around after Heath put on an apron and helped Christina's mother canning peache's .
So if you find that you like this book, check out the other books in the series starting with Crashing in to Tess I love the McGreers stories! The story line is good. The romance sparks and lightening makes you feel the power of their attraction. Join the McGreers in all of Lilly Christine romances.you'll be hooked!
It is the story of Christina and Heath.
Christina and Heath are on opposite sides while in North Shore Alaska. Christina is an activist and student. Heath is a geophysics engineer and part of the well known McGreer family. Heath has made his wealth in fossil fuels. Christine is nobody's fool and she is 100% dedicated to her cause. When her expose' photographs put him in jail, their dispute only gets deeper.
The destruction in the gulf has not set well with Heath and he has been considering a new career. He really admires the consequences Christina takes to set things right with the planet. Christina thinks it is nice that a somewhat sharp, free thinking guy might have her back some day. She thinks her and Heath are total opposites, though, and she doesn't understand what a wealthy, entitled ladies' man would be after her.
When they both show up at Red Rock for different reasons, sparks fly and both lose their composure. Will the fire that ignites among them lead them between the sheets?
I loved the story of Christina and Heath. I love the ways they interact with each other. I love how Heath goes about winning the blessings of the Christina's family in order to win her heart and make her more comfortable with their families' differences. I especially love the way he won over her mother's approval by canning peaches. I enjoyed the ending to the story with them finding their happily ever after.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I received this, but I can say that I probably wasn't expecting much. But, boy was I wrong!
From the start, I was wrapped up in the story if Christina and Heath, and really delved in to their story. It was amusing to see people who should be such polar opposites who are truly more alike than they think.
The characters had great chemistry and the sex scenes sizzled without being pornographic. I was invested in this relationship, and that is one of the highest compliments I can think of.
As a teacher, my biggest complaint? While I adored the quotes that came with every chapter, it annoyed me that there was no acknowledgement of them in the book copy I had. They enrich the book, and they should be cited somewhere.
I am definitely now going to have to read the rest of the books in this series. I look forward to the journey!
