Susan Warner was born in New Bern, North Carolina. These days she lives in the melting pot of the United States, New York. She writes about sweet small-town romance as a way to remember her roots. She originally started telling stories to her kids to benefit from learning about country values even though they weren’t raised there. When Susan isn’t writing, she reads voraciously, volunteers to help the homeless and animals when she can, and is eternally trying to get the gauge right in her knitting.

I am a stickler for poorly proofread books and this one is a dilly. Although I liked the characters and their story, when there are so many grammar and punctuation errors I get frustrated. The mistakes in this book were so blatant that a cursory reading of this book would have found them. Most books have 1 or 2 mistakes in the entire book, but this one seemed to have one on nearly every page. Please re-read your book and learn how to use commas and avoid run on sentences. Otherwise, I enjoyed it.

This is a great rom com, second chance romance. Joy moves back to her home town and takes a job to build a life for her son and herself. Cord who use to know Joy needs her help to find out who is taking money from the company. He thinks he hates her and he needs her help. The characters were wonderful and so likable and their interaction together was well written and enjoyable to read. The story flowed and I found it very entertaining.

Each book is very short so I thought that at some point it would make sense but this is the most convoluted mess I believe that I have ever read. Nothing makes sense. He’s small but later he’s big. The reason she left him is forgotten and another reason is brought out. Nothing is wrapped up. In Each Book! This author goes on my never read list!!!!!
