I look forward to hearing his music someday, and reading more of his tales.
It's not without sadness (How I Didn't Make It), but it's an absolutely fascinating view of the events of the 60's and 70's in the NYC local rock scene.
Do not pass this one up.
It's funny, sad, touching, hilarious, and compelling. You won't put it down until you finish, and once you do, you'll want to hear what The Planets sounded like. Binky paints vivid pictures of the mid-70s NYC scene in all its filthy, dilapidated glory.
Five stars and when's the sequel?
For everyone else who left one-star reviews, perhaps it's time to edit those a bit?

This story is worth checking out. It's a very honest and ironic look at the road to success (or not) in the music scene at CBGB's back in the '70s.Published on August 8, 2012 by Arnie W
