How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

I saw MMJ on Austin City Limits on PBS several years ago with no prior exposure to the band. The song "Dondante" on that performance really grabbed me, enough to become interested in the band. I ordered this DVD, and I honestly feel that it's the best concert movie I've ever watched. These guys just rock on this disc, the band has a swagger, togetherness, and passion that really comes through in the video. The musicianship is top notch, there's a bunch of great southern-fried lead and rhythm guitar work. Jim James' vocals are terrific on this set. I've heard a few gripes about the audio on this DVD - I'm not an audiophile, but I have a better than average 5.1 home theater system and it sounds just fine to me. Now, as for the MMJ studio albums, those are very hit and miss (mostly big misses) for me, they sound very dull and uninteresting (even goofy at times) compared to this DVD. This is definitely worth your money if you're an MMJ fan or curious to check them out. Watching it always makes me feel great. I think it's the best thing you can buy from this band, period.

seen em all, Last Waltz, Led Zeppelin, Monterey, Hard days Night, and put this at the top of the stack. a music enthusiast, I already consider this band one of the greatest of all time and this live DVD is a true testament to their brilliant live act. extremely well produced, with camera angles capturing the key moments of each of the musicians at their peak. if at all curious or have a friend who's told you to check em out, this is a great starting point.

Excellent live concert DVD. If you are a person who likes watching live DVDs or rock music, this is a MUST. In my opinion the only live concert DVD that tops this one is The Band's "Last Waltz." Buy this and you will not be disappointed. Rather, see My Morning Jacket in concert and you will enjoy the experience even more.

This is a great concert, MMJ is awesome, but honestly, I have heard better sound on TV broadcsts of their shows. The compression is ridiculous, the bass can start a cut and as soon as the guitars kick in it all gets incredibly muddy and the top and bottom both disappear. It's a shame to take a beautiful effort by the artist and ruin it with bad mastering like this. I rechecked everything, switched D/A converters - no difference. Save your money or buy a CD and close your eyes.

I discovered the Indie rock (sometimes they are classified as Alt-country, but don't let that deter you, they rock!) group recently seeing them on Austin City Limits. This live concert DVD covers their earlier work. It is fantastic.

Quixotic. Beguiling. These guys aren't the American Dream but they capture the essence of sublime transcendence.

My Morning Jacket habe ih für mich eigentlich erst sehr spät entdeckt.
