Solid offering from King Push

This is a solid complete work from Pusha T. In normal Pusha T fahion the CD starts out strong with King Push as the intro to get you into the flow of the album. If you read the credits it does seem as if this album is feature heavy, but when you listen to the CD most of the featuring artist are just used on the chorus of the given songs besides a few. Some of the highlights of this CD to me are King Push, Suicide, Who I Am, and Nosetalgia, with seemingly Ma$e inspired Let Me Love You being the single skippable track. I just wish that he would have saved some of the highlights from The Wraith Of Caine mixtape for this CD, mainly Millions, Blocka, and Trust You. In my opinion Trust You ft Kevin Gates was a hit if it would have been pushed as a single, while Sweet Serenade falls short of being a hit.

Mediocre album or maybe I just had really high hopes. Every time I hear a song by or featuring Pusha T it's great but I just bought 3 of his albums and I think I like about 7-8 songs total. I'm not disappointed they were all pretty cheap on Amazon but if I had bought them all at retail price I'd probably be pretty pissed. Hope this helps

A Great Debut (if not a tad short)

This is a great debut album (if not a tad short). The production spearheaded by Kanye West along with additional production from Pharrell and others makes this a very sonic album. (Listen to "Who I Am", "King Push", "No Regrets"....just listen to the whole damn album!!) The good thing about MNIMN is that it's not just an album with crazy beats and ok lyrics, everybody in this album rhymes to the top of their game. Pusha T is proving that he doesn't need to hide behind his brother to tell great stories. Sure most of his lyrics are about dealing cocaine but so what? He twists and turns his words so that everytime it's a fresh and intense experience. My only complaint about the album besides its short time length was that Pusha T only has 2 songs where he's rapping by himself. I understand it's a debut album but this should've been the time where he can show that he can hold an album on his shoulders without having to be supported by No Malice or GOOD Music. Hopefully on his next album he gets more solo songs but whatever. If you already like Pusha T then you won't be disappointed. BUY THIS ALBUM!! If you only sparingly listen to him BUY THIS ALBUM!! I promise you you won't regret it (no pun intended).

Hip-Hop Album of the Year?

With the release of his long awaited solo debut, Pusha T immediately establishes himself as one of the top artists in hip-hop. This album is nearly flawless with every song punching the listener in the throat (in a good way of course). The beats are all stellar and Pusha T and his litany of featured guests bring their absolute A game with every verse, hook, and bridge. This is a short album (clocking in at only 46 minutes), but that just means that there is no filler. Even Pusha's lone foray into the radio friendly side of town is a lyrically good enough track that you can just ignore your skip button and let the whole album ride. My Name Is My Name is at worst the second best rap album of the year. Considering that it's Pusha T's first solo album and that this year saw releases from every major rapper from Kanye to Eminem to Jay-Z, that's saying a lot.

Yes he uses more euphemisms about cocaine then any person known to man but he does it an intelligent way many times. Also, if you listen deeper you here a cautionary storyline and more then just someone rapping about dope, the dope game, and it thrill. This is intelligent street music. This album is solid, a little short and I felt the beat selections could have been better but overall solid.

I've been a Clipse fan since 2005, and this album does not disappoint. Pusha T releases a classic album, which only features one Pharrell collab, but the album works. Only two things about this album are bad 1) Future 2) Big Sean. Both add NOTHING to the album/tracks they are on.

Support your favorite artists by buying their albums and seeing them in concert. That is how you support an artist.

Pusha T delivers gritty, yet accessible hip hop with production courtesy of Kanye West, Don Cannon, Swizz Beatz, and Pharrell. The Dream is heavily present as the hook/chorus provider on much of the album, whether from a writing standpoint or actual performance. This album is solid from start to finish with no filler and Pusha's lyrical prowess is on full display. The only complaint is the length of the album. It flys by so quickly, you will wonder why there was no deluxe version with a few extra gems. Excellent album from Pusha T, nonetheless.
