2-it was pretty short page-wise, 49 if I'm recalling correctly. I figured anything that short was going to leave you hanging so you'd buy the next book to see what happened and so on.
Now, I like serials. Reading some really good ones by David Wright and Sean Platt but at 49 pages I just wasn't too sure about the book. But I also decided that .99¢ wasn't too bad a price to find out.
But by gosh if it didn't turn out to be really good! J.R. took the zombie story in a way I didn't expect it to go and I've been watching zombie movies since the original B&W Night of the Living Dead and reading zombie stories for almost as long and I thought I'd read every different scenario that created a zombie. But I got surprised.
I won't spoil it for those of you who decide to get this book but I'd be surprised if you didn't find it as cool as I did. I'm almost positive that the author is a young person and if so I have 1 thing to say to you - well, 2 actually. 1-keep writing and 2-do a sequel to this one. I'd love to see where you'd go with this. And if you're not a young person the same applies :)
Now off to buy My Teacher is a Werewolf.
Oh and as an aside - if you get ignorant trolls who couldn't write a paragraph for a book, pay them no mind. I've read more books on multiple topics in both fiction and non-fiction than all of their days alive combined plus I've been a proofreader so I think I know a bit about what I'm talking about. Don't let any negative comments stop you from writing (and I don't care if you're 10 or 110). Keep it up.
Thanks for a good read!
