My Turn: Waiting to be Murdered in South Africa Paperback – November 10, 2018

4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 22 ratings

From YA romance author Alice VL, comes the shocking true story she did not want to write. However, in a society where we are often told only one side of a story (generally whatever narrative the media and/ or government wants us to believe), the truth must be told no matter how difficult it is to hear or how costly it may be to tell.

"My Turn," recounts the emotionally charged and tragic details of what is happening in present-day South Africa. It is the story of racism run rampant. Land is being taken. Whites are being targeted for brutal torture and murder. The statistics document this to be true, but little is known of this travesty in our world. The reason? The crimes are not committed by whites against blacks, but vice versa. This scenario finds no traction because it does not fit the politically correct view of what racism is known to be.

Alice VL provides alarming statistics and sobering documentation to bolster the claims that white people in South Africa, particularly white land-owners and farmers, face unremitting danger. Gripped by fear, each is left to wonder, is today "my turn" to be tortured and murdered? The author seeks to be the voice of the minority in South Africa yearning for justice under a government that seems utterly disinterested in providing it. Instead, the government turns a deaf ear to the cries of the persecuted minority while at times even lampooning their plight.

This book seeks to shed light on a subject many wish to bury along with the white minority in South Africa. It is with the sincere hope that people who value true racial harmony and reconciliation will be enlightened to the racial persecution and injustice being perpetrated towards millions. We put forth this book because we ,believe that all prejudice is wrong, all hatred is vile, all persecution is criminal. We dare not close our eyes and hearts to the oppression of any minority.

This book is hard to read at times. It is so difficult to believe that black gangs in South Africa are invading the homesteads of white farmers and literally stealing, killing, and torturing whole families. It is happening on a grand scale, and the government does not care and the government encourages this violence and turns its back to it. The media refuses to report it. The legacy media worldwide is not paying much attention to this at all. Mandela's successors are profiting by spilling the blood of the white farmers, stealing their farms without compensation and either selling it to the Chinese government or giving it to the black thugs to plunder and destroy. Where is the United Nations when you need them? The world seems to have turned its back to this atrocity. This is a must read.

If you have the guts to read this book, do so. It's the blatant, no-nonsense and honest story of the reality of SA life under the ANC government. The book is well-written, a fast-read and an eye opener.

How sad that the same nation who fought alongside other nations are now left to fend for themselves against their very own government, in a country that discards them like trash. The world had a hand in this. The world must own up to the horrific acts of violence against these people! They are being run out of the country they were born in, only, they have nowhere to go. This is a crime against humanity and barbaric. The government is rotten and beleaguered by corruption and criminals. For all those who turn away, hoping that it will pass, I hope the souls of the murdered don't come back to haunt you!

Thanks to the dehumanization of those of European ancestry, a genocide of the peoples who brought modern comfort, technology and a stable food supply to South Africa is occurring and being covered up due to politics. Read this book to hear a story from a human just like you experiencing not just the horror of their inevitable assault, but even worse a world of former allies unwilling to help.

Friend recommended this book ,I couldn’t even finish reading it. Its just bad, meandering.Prose feel flowery like a romance novel.Subject of the book (supposed ‘Genocide’ in South Africa) seems more like something the author is trying to invent and convince the reader exists. Don’t waste your time with this

5.0 out of 5 stars The world just turns away and ignores this daily massacre.

An incredibly sad and horrific situation for white people in South Africa..
Many countries have turned away and are ignoring what is happening, the very same countries who fought against apartheid are too gutless to accept that their dream of the perfect rainbow nation does not exist..By ignoring this mass murder they can pretend everything is ok.. This is a very difficult read an in depth detail of individual stories of the horrific hours of torture given to babies, children, men, women and the elderly..Even their animals are not spared at the hands of these evil savages..No human should have to suffer this..
