My Twin Sister and Me: A Scout Always Does Her Best by Emiliya Ahmadova revolves around twelve-year-old twins Rafaela and Julieta, who live with their parents and fifteen-year-old sister, Karla. Julieta is concerned over the freckles on her face and she finds them ugly.
Valeria, her classmate, is a bully and calls her 'Leopard Face'. Julieta stands up for her friend, Montana, against Claudius when she is bullied. Julieta keeps wondering why people do not appreciate inner beauty but instead get carried away by appearances and clothes.
As the book progresses, readers see how Julieta saves her Uncle Diego and how readers are introduced to scouting through their scouting program in Russia to participate in the World Scout Jamboree.
Apart from introducing readers to scouting, the story also speaks about good values, morals, ethics, kindness, family love, and friendship. It also handles the topic of bullying effectively. The story also shows how the girls handle a crisis, their fears, and how to deal with bullying in school.
It is a good book for children as it teaches them good values and can be used at home and in classrooms to help kids understand about good values and ethics. All the characters in the story have been portrayed well to make them look real and relatable. Whether it is classroom bullying or saving Uncle Diego or the scouting trip to Russia, the story has a lot to offer young readers in terms of morals and messages. This book is inspiring and will give hope to readers.
About the Author
My primary pursuit revolves around writing and helping people in the process by getting published: writing drives me forward by always creating texts from new ideas and thereby bringing a positive force into the lives of those surrounding me. As a writer by craft, I aim to treat subjects that not only spark and capture my readers' interest, but also instruct by highlighting those issues that we humans confront on a daily basis by providing direction (often by the indirect to find direction out as Iago said in William Shakespeare's Othello).
I write as a hobby with a tool that allows me to share knowledge from lessons learned by entertaining, motivating, and guiding my readers as followers.
In this vein, I have recently wrote and successfully published three entirely divergent books: (1)Broken Chains (women's fiction and protest literature); (2) A Hell For All Seasons (tales of the supernatural, occult, and paranormal); and (3) My Twin Sister and Me (children's literature for young readers) --This text refers to the paperback edition.
