My child has always been a poor sleeper. Since the age of 1yrs old, he would fall asleep at 8pm, wake up 2 hours later and then remain awake the rest of the night. Awake 22 hours a day, my wife and I could barely function. I turned to drinking 25 cups of coffee a day just to stay awake. I would carry around a jar of instant coffee in my waistband and basically was making 2 cups of coffee an hour just to function. My wife became a walking zombie. I once caught her eating a 8-day old yellow-fin steak at 3am in the morning. When I asked her what she was doing, she just looked at me and began to cry - but there were no tears. She was dry crying. That is when we decided we had had enough.
We purchased the MyBaby Soundspa on a wing and a prayer. We had tried everything else to get our child to sleep. We read over 10,000 pages of literature on the subject of child sleep, spent $31,000+ on a child sleep psychologist and sought out the guidance of religious leaders across the globe to find a solution. We met a shaman in the Peruvian rainforest named only "Forest Kevin" who cast a spell on our family. Turned out Forest Kevin was just a hobo who had camped out in the Peruvian forest and his spell was just him reading the label from the back of a shampoo bottle in Spanish. We were so desperate we would do just about anything.
The MyBaby Soundspa was the answer to our prayers. The first night we tried it, we hung it on the door to our son's bedroom and put on the "Mozart" music. We waited in the kitchen for him to wake up, but lo and behold - he never did ... until 3pm the next day. That first night he got 19 hours of sleep, and in the weeks and months that followed he would sleep for an average of 15 hours. This Soundspa was pure magic and for less than the price of a family meal at Sabarro, it had turned around our lives.
The problem became not that our child wouldn't sleep, but now, that he would sleep too much. Sleeping 15 hours is great, but now that our child is older it presents a lot of problems trying to get him up for school. He will go through the day humming the classical tune and he tells us that he hears the song in his dreams. We are not sure what this means, but we are encouraging him to explore this passion and we feel that we might have the next Mozart living under our roof.
Luckily, I am now down to only 17 cups of coffee a day and my wife has stopped eating raw tuna at 3am in the morning. We cannot thank MyBaby Soundspa enough for changing our lives.
