From the manufacturer
Since 2005, Myfox has been redefining home security.
Inventors of the first connected home security system in 2009, Myfox patented the IntelliTAG anti-intrusion sensor, encouraging proactive deterrence by preventing break-ins before they happen.
Catch the intruders before they can break into your home
The Myfox Home Alarm is the only smart home security system that catches the intruders while the doors are still closed and your house is safe and sound, thanks to door and window vibration analysis that can tell the difference between normal events and a break-in attempt. The system provides a seamless and intuitive experience that takes less than 15 minutes to install, notifies you who is at home, and auto-disarms. The Myfox community feature allows you to invite a trusted social network of friends and family to watch over your home when you’re away.
Included in the box:
- The IntelliTAG is a unique door and window sensor that analyzes vibrations and distinguishes normal events from break-in attempts
- The Siren alerts you of the break-in attempt with its 110dB alarm
- The Key Fob controls the alarm system and automatically disarms it when you arrive home
- The Link, the central hub that connects them all together wirelessly
The Myfox is on IFTTT and Works with Nest !
With the Myfox Security Channel on IFTTT and the Works with Nest integration, the Myfox system not only allows users to keep an eye on their homes wherever they may be, but also allows for a seamless connected home experience. Through the Myfox Key Fob and integrations, when a user arrives home the Nest Thermostat can automatically go into Home mode, music can start playing on Echo, and more. The possibilities for connected living are endless.
Proactive Security With Detection Before Intrusion
Unlike traditional alarms, Myfox puts deterrence at the forefront, leading the way for the next generation of security solutions. With its IntelliTAG technology, Myfox offers the only smart home security system that scars the intruder away while the doors are still closed.
- Place the IntelliTAG on a door or window.
- IntelliTAG recognizes normal events, such as a ball bouncing or someone knocking on the door, reducing false alarms.
- When IntelliTAG identifies an intrusion attempt, such as drilling or prying with a crowbar, it triggers a powerful 110db alarm.
No more false alarms or forgetting the code
Your Key Fob automatically disarms the system when you step into your house.
See who’s at home and keep track of who’s coming and going
Thanks to individual user Key Fobs, you can be notified when your children are safe at home or the babysitter arrives.
Via the mobile App, see who's at home and safe.
Rely on your trusted community or activate On-Demand 24/7 Pro-Monitoring
Planning to be away for some time ?
With Myfox Community, you can invite your friends and family to join your network and receive intrusion notifications and temporary access to events timeline and camera viewing. As the owner, you decide when to give access, and when to take it back.
To feel even safer, you can also activate 24/7 Professional Monitoring whenever you want, to have a team of professional operators watching over your home 24/7, with real-time alerts and fast and local intervention. Good news, it is contract free : no commitments, no hassle, just a click away through the Myfox app.
Setup in minutes, with your smartphone App

The install went fairly smoothly, did not have any problems. All sensors worked fine, they are in the basement and main level of the house. The hub is in the center of the house so this probably helps with them connecting to it. We understand the limitations of this system, there is no call to first responders this is just an alarm. We arm it at night at bed time and turn it off in the morning. We had one false alarm and it required us to "re-calibrate" one of the sensors. Believe me, the alarm going off at 3am wakes you up! No false alarms again.
Overall for what it is I think it is a good system. Keep in mind it really is self monitoring with the ability to add friends and family to your monitoring. Also you can subscribe to video recording or just use it for live streaming of your cameras. If you want a system that notifies the authorities then perhaps looks somewhere else. Hope they come out with an outside camera at some point.
I cannot entrust the security of my home and family to MyFox if they are not equipped to respond to problems. Most companies employ online ticketing systems, whereby support requests are submitted, and customers' problems are looked at and eventually resolved. I have submitted multiple support requests to MyFox's ticketing system for over 4 months now; so far, 0 have been resolved. When a customer support representative finally gets back to you, you're given the run-around, and you're compelled to regularly reach out to the them to inquire about progress. But there's no guarantee that you'll hear back from them: for me, unresolved requests have mysteriously "closed" without any resolution, prompting an entirely new communication thread that requires going back to the beginning.
For hardware- and software-based services like MyFox -- particularly something that's intended to protect your home from a burglar -- responsiveness, proactiveness, and a rudimentary level of proficiency in tackling urgent customer support requests is absolutely paramount. If the MyFox hardware doesn't work for you, then you'll probably need to send it back, or spend your weekends endlessly tinkering with the hardware and the buggy, error-prone mobile app, which is required for pairing and calibrating the system's base station and sensors. This gets to another serious issue with MyFox: If you attempt to send the MyFox hardware back, as instructed, you may never get your money back.
Indeed, this is what has happened to me. After being instructed by MyFox to return the hardware directly to them, and after it had been delivered, there was no confirmation email sent and no refund issued, as previously assured. A couple months later, I am then asked to send MyFox my information via a credit card payment form; silence ensues. Dozens of back-and-forth exchanges later, there has been zero resolution and I am out nearly $450 with nothing in hand to show for it except a lot of lost time!
Finally, a little more elaboration on the hardware and software itself: The Link, which is the central hub of the system, frequently becomes disconnected without warning, prompting an automatic reconnection attempt, during which it will begin blinking again, then go completely offline, ultimately unable to connect. I was quite perplexed by the opaque nature of the Link, and worry about its reliability given that it is essential to the system. It is a single point of failure, so when it goes down, everything goes down. During the time it had managed to maintain a connection, I was unable to successfully connect the IntelliTAG Smart Sensors because the mobile setup wizard would spawn unusual errors for which I could not find any documentation, in the box or online; it would simply state that the unit needed to quit the setup. You can imagine the frustration at this point: no working hardware, no working mobile app, no documentation.
I had high hopes for MyFox. And I don't like to bad-mouth companies for nothing. But their sleek design belies some fundamental problems that are simply too big to ignore, or to stay quiet about. This is about home security, folks, not some other electronic do-dad in the house that doesn't really matter. I hope that someday MyFox can get it together, but clearly they have a ways to go.
