Loved the premise of crossing dimensions to where the Main Character (MC) is mistaken for the person he plays in a movie. Because the movie character is insane, our MC has to question himself if he is actually this other person. Every person in the story comes off believably real - the MC, the "love" interest, the interrogator, etc.
The weird part, and some of the most interesting points of the story, occurs when the MC meets the movie version of himself. The character he studied to play the movie role, so he has insights and understanding which no one else has for this insane villain.
Last part of the tale - what would you do when you meet your evil twin self? Or, better yet, what would you do if you needed to beg an insane villain for a ride home?
In the extras after the main tale, you get the teaser for the next book and it looks even better than this prequel.
Note for an "erotica" this book has only one explicit M-M sex scene towards the end of the story.
I am happy to say I was wrong.
Conveyed by a writing which is quick and much to the point, the plot may not be awfully original but it is tight, consistent and entertaining. Rhythm is very fast and the lead is fully rounded. Side characters are far less so but it is probably due to the story being very short. Devon seems an interesting antagonist, though.
Dialogues are sparkling, sometimes a little too much for the perilous situation Tristan finds himself in, but they elicit more than one smile.
There is one, maybe a little unexpected, explicit sex scene towards the end. It is well done even if more could have been done to build up the tension leading to it. I would have apreciated for the two lovers to switch roles in bed, but this is a personal taste, of course.
The story is self contained but there are many openings for a sequel.
Editing is good with just two typos: affect instead of effect and a "you're" instead of a "your" towards the end.
This story takes the trope of “actor in your fave show/movie gets sent to the fictional world,” and then has delightful fun with it.
Spoiler: having sex with a variation of oneself ALWAYS intrigues me as a concept.
C’mon, this story is free. What do you have to lose by trying it out?
I liked this book a lot, yet this is one that has me begging to have it expanded.
The characters are fresh. The plot original. The single sex scene extremely erotic. The story leaves one wanting more.

The story is very fast paced, I flew through it and have been left with the promise that there is more to come and I am very glad.
Our main character Tristan has to deal with bizarre costumes at work then waking up in the equally bizarre world of the films. Where he is being held captive due to his resemblance to 'Devon' his character in the films and the Supervillian of the piece. Things were definitely safer when this was all just a film.
If you don't like m/m romance stay clear, if you do you're in for a treat ;)
