Good story bad editing.

While the story line itself was quite interesting the spelling and sentence structure as horrible. I kept asking did this author forego anyone proof reading this book? I think even my younger grandchildren can spell better. Left me thinking that English was a second language for this person. If you can get through the spelling and sentence structuring problems the story and ending might be considered worth it. Recommend the author buys a kindle or computer to write her books and uses spell check then hires a reader to correct her writings.

Good read, great twists and depth. But seriously, did NO ONE proofread this book?! I had to blaze through reading so my mind would make the corrections for me. I thought the other reviews were just being pansy soft. But for real, so many freaking spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors, its not even funny.

I enjoyed reading about Kiara and Jake and their involvement in the jewelry theft and murders. The story kept me wondering who was the head of the operation. The outcome was a lot more complicated than I thought. Kiara always seemed on her toes throughout the story. I look forward to reading more of your work.

The plot and characters work, but no editor ever saw the manuscript. It is obviously written by someone for whom English is their second language. So many errors in word usage that it was difficult to read it all the way through.

Too many everyday sayings were misquoted in the book. A lot of small words were left out in the transcript. . I believe that they used a computer to proofread the grammar? It would have been better if I had not read so many grammatical errors. The story itself was a good one. But reading so many expressions incorrectly stated was interrupting my "train of thought" as I was reading the story. Each time they messed up another common saying, I thought oh no, not again! Then I realized a human being did not proofread this book. It was done by a computer which would not recognize most of those sayings in the book. I have seen my computer change words and phrases that I have written in letters. One word of advice: The author needs to get an experienced proofreader ( person) to scan the final copy of future publications before going to press. My final opinion is that it was a decent book.

This is the second book in the Davenport Mysteries. I had to download it after finishing book 1. The characters are what makes the boks. How they bounce off each other as they doggedly unravel the mystery. They are unlike any characters that I have read before.I look forward to the next in the series from V.S Vashist.
