The kids are just biking around when they see a van and hear noises inside. They are able to discover a man with handcuffs in a car in the back of the van.
Will was able to get the men out of the way by leading them away from the scene on his way to notify the cops.
The other 3 kids get into the van and talk to the inventor of the car to find out it's features. They are all brought to a house and locked in.
They soon discover things to help in getting away and they are chased.
Didn't see this ending happening in the way it did. They are top notch solvers.
While out bike riding, the Mystery Kids hear strange noises coming from a parked van. Unable to resist investigating, they soon find themselves involved in a high-speed chase in the English countryside. How do the children escape from a locked room? What is making the strange sound? Why does Will almost have a heart attack? Set in 1950's Britain, this adventure story will suit anyone who enjoys Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys or the Famous Five.
What did I like? I think of all the books in this series, this one is my favorite, so far. It seems the kids were more active and more mature in the story. I loved the play with the rescued Ronald. This is such a good series for children to learn how to help others and be responsible. I really look forward to the next book as the older me just refuses to grow up and these books are so interesting. I shared it with my grandchildren over the phone today and I could hear them taking in their breath and telling me not to stop as they wanted to hear the whole thing today.
What will you like? From the standpoint of a parent, you will love to see your children of all ages enjoying these healthy and clean books. They are easy to read and will keep their interest till the last page. As an adult, your going to enjoy them just as much as the kids do. Tell your friends and share these books, we need to encourage the author to continue writing them. As a member of the ARC group, I received this from the author for an honest review with no other compensation.
