I picked up this to use as a normal messenger bag because I liked the style of it and it works well. I think it is best for just every day use although I am using it for school. It is big enough to fit a couple note books and a couple text books. I imagine it would work well as a tackle bag but I will never use it as one. As far as the specs It is 18" across and 12" tall. It has one big main pouch, no dividers in it and it has two small pockets right under the main flap. On the back side It has another slim pocket.

I really like this bag, it appears to be very sturdy, I have had it for about two months and it doesn't appear any worse for wear.

This looked like an amazing bag, just what I was looking for. I ordered it and payed the 2 day shipping. Got it in one day. The color and canvas fabric I thought was great. However, I agree with another comment that the bag is indeed smaller than it appears here on this model:

[...]

Anyway, it broke the first day of use, while on vacation no less. The hardware used on this bag is very poor. I suspected this company had to cut corners somewhere, and this was it. Even another reviewer, Lucas, has verified this. If you buy this bag be prepared to have it break at the most inopportune moment.

I sent it back to Amazon and got a full refund including the shipping.

As the title says almost perfect. Very rugged construction and it is very comfortable to wear. I get a lot of compliments at school and a few people have asked where i got it. it's made for fishing but i've been using it for class, the only changes i would suggest if they were marketing this for school would be having closable pockets on the inside. there are two small pockets on the inside that would be great for pens and USB drives but the objects inside could easily fall out (it does have a large zipper pocket on the inside though). The only construction flaw was that one of the snaps for the shoulder strap came undone and the snap wont stay closed so i have to keep fixing it. Someday i'll get some super glue and make it permenent but for now it's just a minor annoyance. So overall great bag but since i'm not using it for it's intended purpose (fishing) I can't really comment on how it would work for it's intended purpose. It works great as a school bag though just the right size for a binder and a couple of books.

I love this bag I really do but there are some problems with it. The first is in one the the dimensions. The height of the bag is not as described it's only about 12 inches not 16 inches. Even though the bag is a little smaller than described that didn't really bother me. I've gotten two bags so far both unfortunately had the same problem. I returned the first because one of the button rivets came out of the fabric. Upon receiving the second bag the same rivet fell out as well as a second coming out a couple weeks later.
Update:
Fell apart with very little use. It's a piece of junk!

Despite this being a tackle messenger bag I've used it as an everyday messenger bag whenever I am out with friends or just on my own. Its been around 2 years since I've owned it and its held up rather well despite a little threads becoming a little loose and breaking off. But sadly some people do refer to it as a purse despite being rather large enough to hold a 15 inch laptop and its battery charger, although it can get a little bulky and heavy when added to it. There's been enough pockets to hold certain items for easy access and others to stay tucked away and safe until needed. I may add a waterproof lining later since I've been caught in a few downpours and worried for the safety of my items.

This bag has held up to a lot of abuse. I didn't use it for tackle, I used it for work. I was always getting compliments on how sharp the bag looked, only problem is after some time, the side clip broke, it obviously was not meant for repeated heavy use. I used a caribiner clip to fix it and it lasted. No rips, no tears. The side loops are sewn in very securely.

For starters, I didn't even realize that Ngage was marketing this bag as an outdoorsman bag. Only after receiving the bag did I notice the decal on the top left that reads "get out and fish." I scratched my head a little bit, then upon looking inside I noticed that it came with a free plastic tackle box. I was dumbfounded. I ordered the bag as a school bag that can double as a personal purse when I'm not attending classes. With the removal of the tackle box, I think it will do quite nicely in that role.

The detachable swivel strap comes with an optional shoulder pad, great if you're using it for outdoors and carrying a lot of gear! The bag's main flap secures to two swivel hooks in the front; quick to close, and not bad for opening. Underneath this flap are two tall pouches on the front. Inside there is a large main compartment with a couple small sleeves on the inside of the front. On the inside of the back is a small zipper pouch. The interior fabric is kind of strange...not quite mesh. I'm not sure I like it, but it feels like it should hold up alright. The exterior is canvas, as you would expect, and the design is very chic. I bought the bag because it looked sort of punky and peppy, and its numerous decals and Ngage patches confirm that--very cool. There is also a zipper on the exterior back that opens up to a fairly large compartment--a good spot for your wallet, checkbook, and a pen. The brass rivets on the smaller pockets are very nice. They're small, but not rigid. It's easy to pull the pockets open and replace them shut without possessing herculean strength.

The description says that you can put a laptop in it. While the design would likely fit most laptops, I highly recommend you don't. The interior is too flimsy to offer any real protection. I recommend using this bag as either an adventuring bag or for carrying books and such. Otherwise, this is a great bag for a reasonable price.
