About the Author

Kelli began canning with her grandmother at a very young age, learning all kinds of tips and tricks about the process.  Her science degree allows her to experiment with canning recipes while keeping in mind the importance of the USDA recommendations for food safety.  While researching what she has named the Nano-Canning Process, she discovered several specialty jellies, jams, and marmalades that are more contemporary than her grandmother's basic recipe.  She loved them so much; she continued her experimentation and has included those recipes in this book.  Kelli lives in central Oklahoma with her husband and beloved dogs Jack and Max. Her daughter and two step-sons live close by.  Her grandson, whom she calls Rocket, was recently born and is the joy of her life!

This is a great book. When I was a child I remember canning with my granny. It seemed like it took forever and that we had to eat the jam forever. I grew up and am lucky to boil water. This is very easy to use and I can actually follow the directions and you do not have to eat forever. I am a very busy mom and this was perfect for the small amount of time I actaully have to try this. You need this one if you have wanted to try canning your own jam!

I was so excited to find this because I love to preserve summertime's bounty, but I have a small family and can't justify making jams, jellies and marmalades in the amounts that usual recipes call for and it seemed like a daunting all day project at the end of which I would have to find enough friends to give away the excess jam to. This little book told me exactly what to do to produce "just enough" and now I cannot wait until berries are in season so I can make my own jam!

Well written, linkable table of contents, spellchecked, grammarchecked, none of the annoyances found in so many indy publications. Great job, thank you!

I am glad that I've finally found a book about canning that doesn't require you to make a million batches! One thing that intimidated me with canning was the amount you needed to make, usually people will can like 12 jars of tomatoes but really only need 6 so this book shows you and teaches you that you DONT have to do the huge quantities. I am also new to canning and its something that always scared me but with this book Iknow feel confident and its got great recipes! If you are a newbie to canning or a veteran this book benefits everyone, so glad I found kelli and her book and you will be too!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this book. I have a 7 year old that loves projects, and what is better than spending a rainy Saturday making jelly! These recipes are easy to follow and make just the right amount. I love that the recipes don't take too much time, and I feel like I am creating a tradition that my daughter and I may share forever!
