This lipstick is the PERFECT pink for me! Not too pink-y, with a little brown undertone, it's my GO TO lipstick. I have searched forever for a color that I can wear pretty much everyday, and having probably over 50 lipsticks (yes, I have a problem) this is finally the one that I've been looking for. It's very matte, so I like to wear a swoosh of something else over top, Burt's Bee's or something clear with a bit of shine, but it's really such a pretty color I don't need to do any layering with other colors. It does need to be re-applied a couple of times a day, but I am good with that. I am throwing out a ton of lipsticks that just didn't work for me and sticking with this. It's quite lovely!

Wow do I love my Red Lizard lipstick! First time trying a NARS product of any kind for me, so I don't know about the longevity of the lipstick in the tube, if it will dry out. But as a blue-eyed, fair-skinned blonde, this is a great color. I wanted something bold for dinner, christmas parties, and to give me a little pick me up on dreary days at work - but not a bright fire engine red. This has a hint of blue undertone to it, it's not orangey at all. I will say this isn't the smoothest lipstick to apply - your lips need some moisture on them to start with as the lipstick kind of pulls at my lips when I swipe it on without a little moisturizer underneath. But I am in love with this color.

I ordered this in Joyous Red because my friend recommended it as being good for fair complexions. It was a bit of a splurge, but I didn't have any lipsticks that made my lips pop without being extra bright.

I am very happy with this product. The red was complimentary and a unique color without taking over my face. It went on smooth, and had good staying power. I ate a whole meal wearing this, and though it had faded somewhat, the color was still there, and the touch-up was just a touch-up, not a complete reapplication. The semi-matte is not very matte at all. It's a very natural look/texture.

I recommend this lipstick.

I love this deep red lipstick, and was dismayed to find out that Sephora no longer carried it. I went online and, lo and behold, I found it on Amazon! I am overjoyed to have it again. Quick delivery, excellent quality, good price. Nars makes lovely lipsticks. The semi-matte is perfect for me: saturated colour, with a smooth feel on the lips. I find matte lipsticks too dry and cakey for my mature skin; this one is perfect. I can wear it as a translucent glaze over lip balm, I can blend it with another colour or over a lip liner, and I can wear it full-on. Very versatile, and long-lasting.
