Problem with activating NBC using fire stick

I can't get this set up to save my life. I have tried repeatedly to activate the NBC programming through my Amazon Fire stick with no luck. I've called Amazon but unfortunately they weren't able to help me. I've also gone to the NBC website and emailed for assistance and no response whatsoever. Can anyone give me some pointers in correcting this problem? What's happening is I'm not being given the option to sign in. I'm directed to the NBC website enter the code which I've done probably seven or eight times now. I tried to link it to my tv as that's the other option given with no luck. It also directs me to enter the code. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled but I keep getting the same results. I have successfully linked to my cell phone and my laptop but that was not my goal. I want to see it on the TV. And yes I have a profile setup on the NBC site as needed. Thank you for any help you can offer. By the way I have Dish Network and I was able to set up ABC with no problems at all. Maybe I'm expecting too much but again I have emailed NBC with no response so I was hoping that this feedback would generate some sort of assistance from NBC but nothing as of yet.

Have the app on Firestick. Manage to watch dozens of other shows on other apps with no problem. NBC seems to be the only one that doesn't function. With each episode, you'll have no problem for the first part of the show. Until the first group of commercials. Commercials always play fine..... then, the buffering starts. Once or twice after the 1st commercial break. Then, the second set of commercials. Again, they play perfectly because as viewers we need to have Universal Studios embedded into our brains so we will go on vacation there, despite a recent study showing 18 percent of Firestick owners having fears of roller coasters. But, back to the topic at hand. After the 2nd set of Universal Studios Vacation reminders, the buffering becomes worse..... and actually begins stopping the show. You're just waiting, watching..... thinking, do I want to go to universal studios?? With this buffering issue, I could check prices with this free time. Then the sound comes on and you think the show is back... but then it looks like all the actors are auditioning for America's Got Talent and all of them are throwing their voice or trying to be ventriloquists, but they don't have puppets. Don't hassle the hoff!
Anyway, eventually you end up going to Amazon.com.... looking up reviews while on the toilet and making your own review. I'm seeing I can add a photo to my review but I'll save you all from that image.

I used it fine for a few days, but haven't been able to get the app to load in a few weeks. It does the NBC jingle and just buffers. I have tried clearing cache, deleting and uninstalling the app, etc to no avail. Frustrating to need to watch shows on my laptop after that being the whole reason I bought a fire stick. Obviously others are having this issue from the reviews so the app is broken.

I'm yet another person who can only give this app 1 Star. Yes I'm a cable cutter and I'm unapologetic because of that. I hate paying for TV i don't watch so I use OTA TV. This doesn't fit well with COMCAST who'm i canceled as they are the PARENT organization to NBC. They are treating a Public Free over the Air channel as if it's on Cable.I can turn to NBC right now for free but because I want to use Alexa or the Fire Stick and be a little innovative i gotta go crawl back in bed with Comcast or another Provider? Screw you NBC and your Daddy. If you haven't got the message yet. NOBODY with Cable is attracted to this app, it was the people without cable and you screwed them over. Steadily on your way to 1 Star. Well here's me doing my part...I hope you get the message. Gladly uninstalling this POS.

I can't seem to watch much of anything on it. I was able to watch the latest episode of Blacklist, which was quite nice, and then it told me I needed to go to NBC and put in an access code to see more episodes of the TV shows. I did as instructed but it said there was a problem and I was never able to access anything further. I tried a do-around by looking under service providers, but AmazonFirestickTV was not listed. Now I'm back to watching episodes of my favorite TV program on my laptop. I don't know why we are offered supposedly free apps that are not usable.
