I have three of these light sets which I wrap up our Xmas tree from top to bottom. Two years of use and no burned out bulbs or other problems. The wires connecting the lamps are a heavier gauge than are regular Xmas tree strings. I don't think these are rated for outdoor use, so be careful.

Recommended, especially if you want to see what your target is so you don't shoot your eye out!

I purchased this as a random act of kindness for someone in my office. We hung it on his desk before he got to work one morning, but within 15 minutes they lights had stopped working. He still loved the lights because of their omage to The Christmas Story leg lamp, but I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the lights. I wish I could have returned them and gotten a replacement, but he wouldn't hear of it.

Love the movie "A Christmas Story" sort of reminds me of my family when we were kids. The "Leg lamp" lights are great, one bulb was a little weak, easy to change. I am planning on buying at least one more string(my only complaint with them is there are only 10 legs per string. We did get BB guns for Christmas one year, NO WE did not shoot our eyes out.

My kids know how much I love A Christmas Story. They have wanted to purchase me a leg lamp but I told them it was too tacky to have in the house. Not to mention too fragile with my kids around. These are the greatest freaking Christmas lights I have ever seen, no doubt about that. The "leg lamp" part slides right over the light bulb on a regular old string of lights, but who cares? If you're expecting it to be of the highest quality you are deluding yourself. It's a novelty item. And it's hysterical! I'm getting some more for my own house for next year (the one I bought this year was for the office and everyone loved it).
