First of all, this is a great-looking piece that will look fantastic displayed on any shelf. However, I have to agree with the previous reviewer who commented about the motor function on this toy; the head-spinning action is poorly done and the head never ends up in its original position. I am afraid to try and turn it manually for fear of damaging the motor, so I have to end up activating it around 5 times before the head is properly aligned again. It may seem like a small gripe, but it really does detract from the enjoyment of the piece, as every time you want to demonstrate it's coolness to someone, you have to deal with the head-positioning issue. otherwise, it looks great & I'm still glad I bought it, but considering how long it took this toy to get to market, you think they could have worked out this semi-major kink.

Pros: Heavy for a toy, nice detail, supernatural.

Cons: Head spinning takes a few tries to get back to default position.

For me, the 1973 film The Exorcist is still the scariest film ever made. Some people do not get why dudes like me feel this way. These are the folks who look at Reagan and don’t think that she’s scary looking. How can you not think she’s scary to look at? Even the characters in the film didn’t walk in to her room and at least wince at the hideousness of what an evil demon looks like. You have Father Karras meet Reagan for the first time and after witnessing her image and talking to her, he advises Reagan’s mother that she thinks she’s just crazy or lying. In the film Reagan mutilates herself with a silver crucifix she found in her bed. She takes the cross and stabs herself and digs the sharp metal corners into her cheeks. Her image does begin to get distorted, some say brought on by the gangrene setting in, even changing the color of her eyes from chestnut brown to a sickly yellow-green. No, for me this face is the emergence of the face of the demon, eking out every day just a little bit more. Her face is supernaturally altered from what is now living inside of her. The movie is scary anyway, but her demonically possessed face is what pushes it over the edge to mainstay its place at the top of many a-person’s list of scariest of all time.

NECA (National Entertainment Collectibles Association) has put out a few Exorcist toys, but for me this one looks the best. They have a bobble head which to me isn’t scary, and they also have the spider walk Regan taken from the infamous deleted scene. My problem with this toy is that in the film it was Eileen Dietz acting in this scene and not the great Linda Blair.

I am glad I got this little gem. The packaging was a little worn, slightly torn and beat up but the collectable
inside is in excellent condition. I am still going to leave it in the packaging. Their just isn't much out their
from this classic movie. I had the Exorcist bobble bed and it looked silly compared with the collectable. I would make sure to get this over the other collectable bobble bed.

What you see is what you get. I don't really think you can call this a "toy" since you can't really play with it, unless you can find toy priests you can have standing around the bed pretending to drive away the demon Pazuzu. This really is just a collector's item for Exorcist fans. I think it's pretty cool.

Several weeks ago, I purchased an action figure that recreates Regan McNeil's (The Exorcist's Main Character)Demonic Possession. The figure's fully detailed, has electronic sound effects and uses batteries. While authentic theme music is played, the doll's motorized head spins 360 degrees. The box set has been artistically decorated with impressive pictures from the movie, and we can also read a short synopsis of the film on it. The doll representing Regan is tied to a bed. It looks so real that anyone might think it's alive. After reading this review, I'm sure that many adult collectors and fans around the world will want to buy this masterpiece. I have no complaints about shipping, because my item arrived at Venezuela on the estimated date. I think the supplier sold me a high quality product, so I feel very happy about that. I'd like to send my regards to all the amazon community!...

I'm a huge fan of the movie and when I saw this I had to pick it up. I have collected other figures from movies and think that NECA did a good job on this box set. Anyone that is a fan of the movie like me should pick this up.

I do love the Regan Possessed Deluxe Box Set, but the head doesn't turn at all now and only did a few times from the start. When we received it, we didn't realize that the hair was glued down to the body and couldn't figure out why her head wouldn't work. We released the hair, but now the head doesn't turn at all and I believe it was because the head was trying to turn when the hair was glued down and it stripped the gears that make the head turn. Even despite the fact that the head doesn't turn, it is still a huge hit in work.

This is a very educational and necessary toy! This brings to life one of the greatest scenes in movie history, who could go on without witnessing the magic of the Exorcist music and the bed rocking, headspinning awesomeness of the movie. Definitly an item for collecting, but I suggest you buy 2, 1 to play with and 1 to keep packaged. I need another so I can play with it. Another amazing Regan item!
