Broken up into three episodes this follows women as they aspire to be selected to be a member of the 2006 Tampa Bay Bucs cheerleader team. Originally called the Swashbucklers the pool of girls begins with 300 as they aspire to dance their way onto the team. Outfits display their fitness.

Based on point values they are winnowed down to 100, then the veteran cheerleaders are brought in and they have to reaudition. The gal that cordinates provides explainations. One girl is in highschool. They then have to do interviews and dress like professionals. Another gal needs to get the job or be deported. Some home/work/school lives are shown.

The candidates are reduced to 51 through display of their dance moves and any special skills then they go to an eatery where their pictures are on a video board and are eliminated to 28. Parents that are there are proud of their daughters while the girls themselves are in shock.

From there they go on a retreat to bond and haze as they get their body fat measured and get their new uniforms. They make their first appearance at the Draft Day Party, Bucs fans appear and show their devotion to the team.

The girls get hair make-overs and pick swim suits then go tothe 8-day calandar shoot, 2 hour prep for photo shoot.

Extras consist of elongated focus on four different cheerleaders, things already seen grouped together. At times exhausting, may need to take a break during viewing. Insightful and interesting.

I really like cheer shows like this and wish it were more in-depth like the Dallas Cheerleaders reality show. This is an interesting Saturday laying around the house type of dvd.

Its ok. Need more scenes of chicks trying out. Nothing like watching nice chicks compete for a vote. This is the only good thing about football.
Perhaps a locker room seen too. ;)
