I was not surprised when at 110K mile my car's maintenance minder told me it was time to change the plugs. I find that the maintenance minder is very conservative but then thought "why not, it will only take a few minutes".

I bought these based on the fact that they fit my car and the NGK name. I was surprised when I pulled the old plugs and found the exact same part number was OEM in my 2007 Accord.

Looking at the old plugs with 110K miles on them, they clearly could have gone a lot further. Other than evidence of running hot (I was not able to find a higher temp version, though one might exist) I would say that they looked flawless.

If you are considering investing in these (yes I know that they are more expensive than some other options) let me throw a few things into the mix for your consideration. I am the second person on here to comment that they replaced these plugs with the same model and in both cases felt that the replacement was a 'why not' and not a 'need to' in spite of being in a high mileage situation.

Please do not forget to apply anti-seize on the plugs before installation and consider the use of dielectric grease on the wire connection.

These are OEM plugs for my 2005 Acura RL. I replaced them at 92K miles just because I thought it was time to do it. When I pulled the used plugs they looked like they could have gone another 50K miles on the car without any problems. They came from the factory with the perfect gap and it is not necessary to adjust them. The perfect plug and worth the money in my opinion.

I picked up a 2005 honda element with 95 k on her and ask my mechanic about changing my plugs, he said they are good until 105k or so. She was not running perfect and my milage was around 19 on the highway
so I decided to buy the plugs and do it myself. I noticed the difference right away and my milage is up to 22. Why wait?

Great price and fast shipping.

Thank you,
Jamie

There is no doubt about this product. I would give it 10 stars. My original NGK sparkplugs lasted over 172,000 miles....well, because I forgot to check the owner's manual. I wasn't sure when to change them, but when I took them out they still looked fine after 172,000 miles.

These are the next step up from the OEM NGK Platinum Plugs that came in my 2003 Honda Accord. They've run great in that car, so I went ahead and ordered another set for my 2006 Honda Element which has the same engine. NGK makes the best plugs for everything in my opinion -- I even have them in my lawn mowers, weed trimmer and leaf blower.

Installed these recently on my 2003 V6 Accord with 120K miles on it. It was the exact model recommended by owners manual, which also recommended Denso plugs in addition to NGK. It even said that my current plugs could be either brand. I decided to go with NGK based on reputation, price and availability. Spark plugs are supposed to be replaced at 105K miles, but since the car did not have any issues, it just keeps running like new, I waited a little longer.

Installation went quickly and easily. Plugs were pre-gapped from the factory, no messing required. Interestingly enough, the plugs I pulled out were Denso, not NGK. Did not matter. Started the car to make sure everything is OK. It was, and since than I put about 20K on the car. No difference in performance, all is good.

Based on my experience, I trust Honda to make the right replacement interval recommendation. There is no need to replace them before 105K miles unless there is mechanical problem. These irridium plugs really do last. I am very happy with this product and recommend it to others.

My 2007 Honda Accord uses these Iridium plugs. Recommended maintenance interval is 100,000 miles but I just have a hard time buying that. I keep close tabs on my gas mileage, so when I see it start to dip, I use that as a signal. Some may say that's ridiculous, but my mpg numbers support my position. My mpg will dip almost 5 mpg and it immediately comes back with a new set of plugs. The old plugs are coated with carbon, the stems show heat deterioration just as the older version of plugs. I think I'll err on the side of caution and continue to replace plugs on my schedule.
