this is a great beginners lab supply. my first one too. it does everything i need it the do for a low voltage supply.. i use it for building 12 lithium packs and a great tool for that. you have to add your own clamp connectors for the hi current end of the supply. that was so far the only con about this unit. Forgot the instructions are in chicken scratch so those are useless too.
I was using this unit to supply an audio amplifier. This unit advertises being capable of 30amps of current draw. It does that out of the box. I was testing an amplifier. I had the voltage set at a constant 14v. The amplifier was drawing about 15 amps max but it's music, so most of the time it was lower than that. A minute or so in POW. The amplifier is still just fine. I tested with a different power supply. The power supply however is toast. I tried to contact the seller to no avail. I went on aliexpress and contacted someone under the same name and they were no help and told me to go pound sand. Now, after using the product within spec, I have a pile of junk.
It worked for 1 day, then the next day. I was using it at 18.4 A and 18.9 volts and 5 minutes into the cycle it blew a fuse. Replaced the fuse and it blew the next fuse immediately. And smelled really burnt.

I put the 30V 20A PSU through paces by powering brushless dc outrunner motors. You can set the current and voltage levels at the front panel with decoder type knobs. During the operation, the voltage and current values stay pretty accurate, and match multi-meter readings. The unit operates as a watt meter also because it shows the voltage, current and power values delivered to the dc motor. I was very happy how it performed after testing it the whole day with different motor and prop combinations. I needed to get up to 30A instead of staying below 21A, therefore I had to return the unit. This is a very dependable unit with ease of use, accuracy and reliability.
