From the Back Cover
The apostles Peter and Jude wouldn't have made good postmodernists. They insist that there is such a thing as absolute, non-negotiable truth, as well as error and deception. They speak of false doctrines and those who teach them as if they actually believe that eternity hangs in the balance and that God, far from shrugging his shoulders like a good relativist, takes the matters of truth and spiritual authority very seriously. Today the fiery, unapologetic language of 2 Peter and Jude can open our eyes to stark spiritual realities. Like few other apostolic writings, these two letters shake us awake to the vital necessity of embracing the true gospel and transmitting it undistorted. The message is as countercultural as possible, and profoundly timely.

4-This book brings us back to the time of Peter and bridges us back to our present time and then give us applications of what we should be doing in light of what the Word of God says !
5-This series of NIV application commentaries are so good that after reading this book, I bought others in the series including John, 1,2 Timothy and Titus, and considering getting one for Romans by the same author!
6-I have used other commentaries such as ones by John Macarthur and other series which are quite excellent, but reading this book, I felt this series really bring the book of Peter2 alive! Highly recommended. Hope this is helpful! Also the navigation in this book is good so don't worry. I read the reviewed in other books in the series that they lacked the proper table of contents to help navigate to the verse you want to get deeper into. There is no such problems in this one !. I pray for the whole body of Christ that our eyes may be opened as well as our ears so we can understand the word more deeply and have a deeper understanding, walk, and friendship with God. Amen.
