I've had a few digital frames, and the picture on this one is really good, especially for the money. Does a solid job in picture quality. Not at the upper levels of "best" but really great for most users. The interface with the remote works great, the software/firmware is intuitive.

So far, so good - but for the stand. Once on, I cannot remove it. I cannot figure out which direction to slide it out of its holding, and even if I could it is on so tight I would need a tool and likely scratch the plastic housing. Very poor design.

Also, since the frame can display vertical or horizontal automatically, I cannot understand such a poorly engineered stand. The stand should be switchable in a second, to accommodate the picture orientation.

Otherwise a good frame. I won't buy again because of the stand.

One minor quirk: coming out of sleep mode the pictures start playing but it will not stay on a picture that was paused prior to it going to sleep. So, after a night of no use, if you want a single picture displayed you have to go back to it and pause again. Odd....

My Nix from many years ago finally died. As I couldn't get another 15", I purchased this one. I do not purchase the "wifi" versions because I only want our photos stored locally. This particular one was great, just a bit too small. Exactly what I was looking for just a sizing issue for the location used. Crisp image quality, rotates well just too small and it looks like they have moved to the "wifi" only versions from their website. While I kept it because it is a great small frame, perfect for a desk size... and since I can't but a larger Nix "non-wifi" version, I just opted for a larger tablet to stream photos, given the cost of the larger frames, I may as well go multi-use. Not everyone wishes their lives out in the cloud a point that manufacturers should pay attention to and hope that they will.

This digital frame was really easy to set up with a little USB port that had all of my photos saved on it. I would decide which way you want you frame to be oriented BEFORE commiting to attaching the frame stand on the back. It's pretty easy to get on, but not so easy to get off if you change your mind. That was the hardest part though. I love the sleep function and the motion sensor settings to save energy. It's pretty handy there is a remote for all of the functions. Since I haven't needed it since initial set up, it's even cooler that it's magnetic and sticks to the back of the frame. Haven't lost it yet! Great digital frame!

There is a reason that Nix is #1 in the digital photo frame market. I have hundreds of photos and videos that I wanted to load on my frame and I wanted a digital frame where I didn't need to resize each and every photo to fill the frame. Finally, I found one! I only bought the 8" frame and I bought this one specifically so I could display in the portrait mode so my pictures would display and take up (almost) the entire frame without huge blackout bars. If you're like me and take most of your pictures with an iPhone in portrait mode, this is the frame for you! Easy plug and play, excellent display quality, and I love that it plays both photos and videos automatically without changing any configurations. It doesn't come with a thumb drive but they are very inexpensive to purchase on Amazon. Make sure you buy the super tiny one so it's not visible and doesn't stick out the back. This frame is very reasonably priced and exactly what I was looking for.

I ordered this frame off the Amazon AU website and it came from US with US wall plug. Bought adaptor but didn't work. Replaced battery in remote, still didn't work. Contacted NIX and after around 3 weeks and 10 emails back and forward they said to contact Amazon direct, not responsible. Contacted Amazon US who kindly said they would refund the return mailing. Waste of time and really should have just bought a frame locally!!
