I had to put stars in and my rank of 5 is based on the excellence not only of the 4 other D.I. Chen books, but also of everything else of hers that I have read.
What is not clear is if N.S. will eventually release Iron Khan or if the rights will revert to Liz who is working with other publishers, according to her Live Journal Blog.
If D.I. Chen was your introduction to Liz Williams, then Night Shade or not, there is a lot more to explore. Spectra have published and Amazon has in stock several books I could strongly recommend: Banner of Souls, Empire of Bones, and especially Nine Layers of Sky. Tor published Poison Master and that's available from several Amazon sellers. The series Darkland and Bloodmind are available from Amazon sellers (although Darkland is horrifically expensive.) Both may be bought more cheaply from Amazon UK as may Winterstrike which got some pretty terrible reviews. (I haven't read it yet.)
The eBook will be available next week (Dec 2) through Amazon and Smashwords and eventually Barnes & Noble, Sony and Apple.
The trade paperback will follow in a couple of weeks and feature Stephanie Pui-Mun Law as the cover artist. It will be available on Amazon and eventually other bookstores as well as Book Depository.
A limited edition hardcover will be made available through Mysterious Galaxy. These will be numbered and signed. They'll probably also be carrying the trade as well.
