There is a reason why myrrh was one of the three gifts given to the baby Jesus. It is a powerful oil with a musty scent to it. It is also an expensive oil due to the way it is produced. I mostly use myrrh essential oil in a headache blend that includes a couple other oils. This is very affordable because it is diluted. The verbiage confused me at first. It is 100% pure myrrh but it's diluted to 20%. This means they took pure oil and mixed one part oil in with four parts carrier oil. The oil itself is still pure though. Being pre-diluted in now way affects the quality of the oil or its properties. Unless you are doing something that calls for a neat (undiluted) application, it is usually recommended that you dilute your oils 20-80% depending on the oil. Dilution of oils does not affect the quality. That's one of the glories of essential oils. 20 oil/80 carrier oil still works and has powerful benefits the same as you would if you had 100% EO. For safety reasons always dilute your EOs before applying. This bottle simply took the math out and did the diluting for you. I am a big fan of now essential oils. This is my mid grade brand for essential oils. While there are some things that I prefer the expensive high-quality oils that you have to order from a distributor, most of my EOs are from Now Foods.

The smells pretty close to what it should be but not as dark as some of my other oils from another company. My main complaint right now I shall see in the photo is Amazon covering up the label which has the name of the oil you can't even see that it's myrrh oil. I know they have to put a label when it's in the warehouse by the least they could put one what we can peel it off easily there are plenty of good labels out there that will do that and not tear up the other label. This is a pet peeve of mine I hate when this happens.

I originally wanted to buy the pure Myrrh oil but since it's pretty expensive, I caved and bought the diluted. I've been using it as a day moisturizer (since it has sunscreen benefit.) I have normal to dry skin. The grapeseed is a light, nongreasy moisturizer and gives my skin a dewy look. So far I am pleased with it. If you're curious about Myrrh but don't want to pay the price, I recommend this product. I would not ,however, buy it for diffuser uses

The product is great don’t get me wrong, I like the smell but I was planning on using this for an air spritzer and was hoping for 100%. But the blend smells lovely and rich of myrr and not of jojoba as others mentioned. Great for the price! Also this seller took the time to securely package the oil and I appreciate that type of care.

Terrific pain relief when blended properly!! Well worth the price. What most people don’t realize ids that when it comes to essential oils, you really do get what you pay for. Now oils are HIGH QUALITY oils for reasonable prices. Pure oils are expensive because they truly are pure and I urge you all to do your research on ‘good’ vs ‘not so good’ vs ‘bad’ oils. You will find out for yourself that Now oils are pure unless they state different (for example their Helichrysum is a 10% blend and myrrh is a 20% because of the normal extreme price for fully pure oil). Do your research. It is so VERY important when blending oils for internal or external use. 99% of EO’s can not be taken internally. Simple ones like cinnamon, bergamot, lime, Wild orange, clove etc, should be edible for use in tinctures, flavourings or cooking however most of these ‘essential oils’ have disclaimers that they are for external use only. Only a handful of reputable EO companies have truly PURE oils that can be used for the mentioned internal uses. Companies like Doterra and Now will only list normally toxic oils (like tea tree and camphor) for external use only whereas oils like cinnamon, bergamot, lime, clove, basil etc is not listed for external use only. This is one of the ways you can know the purity of the oils you purchase and yes, pure oils are expensive BUT this is YOUR HEALTH and if you’re willing to pay $6 for a cup of coffee at that big coffee chain, well then you should be willing to pay for something that benefits your health. I am so glad we have Now oils where we get high quality for a reasonable price.
