Some years back I switched from a prescription med for my high BP to an all natural plan. Through much experimentation and trial and error, I have hit upon a natural regimen that really works. My BP is now in line and even often better than it was when I was on a prescription. Plus I have the much added benefit of not having to deal with the doctors and insurance companies BS. My only problem since stopping the beta blocker I was taking have been attacks of heart palpitations. A common problem with people that stop taking prescription BP meds, even if they ween themselves off of them slowly, (as I did). Through much research online and talking to others with the same problem, I have come to the conclusion that keeping ones electrolytes in balance, (magnesium, calcium, potassium, etc), (MCP for short), as well as staying calm and not letting the palpitations make you nervous encompasses the real treatment of them. In addition to my regimen for the BP, I regularly take a supplement for the MCP balance, (minus the sodium that I always get enough of), and this L-Arginine that has really put a cap on the palpitations for sure. I had never heard of this stuff before seeing it pop up during a discussion online as to other people that suffer palpitations. I won't go into the technicalities here of how it works to better your cardiovascular system, or aid in keeping your BP normal, etc. You can read about it easier and more thoroughly online. Let me just suggest that if you suffer from heart palpitations, whether you are on prescription drugs or not, I would suggest taking this, along with a good electrolyte supplement as well. Either will slow down the palps, but this together with the MCP supplment has kept my heart beat steadier than I have felt in a very long time. And it helps with your BP and has other benefits as well. It comes at a very cheap price for all the good that it does, and I highly recommend it... : )

So far the supplement is doing what is expected from it. It’s been helping with my pre-workout i have seen great results plus "other " nice benefits from NO release seem evident. Obviously a certain placebo response is plausible but all things considered I like the supplement and plan to keep using it.

As a supplement, it seems to help with several conditions, from migraines to inflammation. It relaxes blood vessels, and increases blood flow and energy levels. This makes it really great for muscle recovery. I was already taking a testosterone supplement TruPlayer Elite Series: #1 Top Rated Male Enhancement Pills - Proven Testosterone Booster For Men - Get Results or Your Money Back! when I started taking the arginine, and it had increased my stamina and gains in the gym, but my muscle recovery time and energy was pretty low. The arginine was recommended to me by a trainer friend, and within just a week I was pleased to notice results. I recommend this supplement to anyone looking to improve blood flow and general health, it’s a great product with good results.

It's been over a decade since I accidentally stumbled across some studies that showed L-Arginine helped men perform better sexually due to the way it affects nitric oxide in the body (I worked in a medical department at the time, though I wasn't yet a registered nurse). I'm a Gen Xer, I guess (born 1967) and was always a tomboy, so I have a lot of male friends. I like to share knowledge, especially little known knowledge. So I told all of them, hey, guess what I read...?

Well, now it's apparently common knowledge, but it wasn't for each guy I told, when I told them! Privately they have all come and thanked me later and most have reported success. One was on SSRI antidepressants that totally killed his libido and his functioning. He started supplementing with L-Arginine and gushed to me like a year later that I saved his relationship with his girlfriend (now his wife). Another of my friends is a body builder and fitness model (wow, this makes me sound way cooler than I am -- weird) so he knew the benefits of supplementing but not about L-Arginine's other benefits. Yet another friend has told me (and so has my boyfriend, not that I wouldn't have noticed myself!) that the quantity and quality of his, uh, emissions is increased by L-Arginine supplementation.

I discovered, over time, that L-Arginine has a lot of other health benefits (due to the way it acts on nitric oxide in the body... go figure! jk!). It ALSO has the power to be female Viagra (but back then I really didn't have any problems in that department; my antidepressants were not SSRIs) so, ladies, help yourself.

We're all 10+ years older now and by all reports, L-Arginine seems to help a lot -- even me. I'm 45 now and have no evidence (yet) of menopause.

it seems like I have more get up and go and like I can breath better when I work or ride my bike and I noticed that it brings your blood pressure down mine dropped from 140 over 89 to 118 over 72, and that's just taking 2 pills a day.
