Directions

I work as a personal trainer I am always looking for new things to try for my clients and myself. Having heard of bulletproof coffee I wanted to try it and see what I thought. The first day I used 1 Tbs in my coffee and it COMPLETELY curbed my hunger! The next day I put it in a large water bottle and it did the same. The 3rd day I used it in a smoothie as it had no effect on the flavor or texture. Come 1pm, I realized I hadn't eaten lunch but was not hungry!- Love the dark glass bottle- protects the contents from light and no plastic leeches in- As it is tasteless and odorless it can be used in anything from coffee to salad or even water- The price is not as high as some and the bottle is really big at 32 oz! With just 1 Tbs per day it will last awhile!- It can be kept in the fridge or at room temperature- It got me through a 90 minute workout this morning with energy to spare :0)- The packaging was very well done, labeled with a fragile sticker, the class bottle was suspended in plastic within the cardboard box

High quality MCT oil for the price (got it for $20). This bottle is HUGE and will last a while. The taste is very minimal (almost no taste at all). It's good for quick energy -- especially if you put it in your daily coffee (1 tablespoon). I take it shortly BEFORE my workout, and I find that it boosts metabolism, and helps me to loose weight more quickly.

Honestly, I have NOT noticed a difference between NOW MCT oil and Brain Octane oil (had two bottles of the Brain Octane before), so I much rather purchase the NOW brand at a lower price, and I get a much bigger bottle too! Another thing I like about the NOW MCT oil vs. Brain Octane is that the NOW brand MCT oil comes in a GLASS BOTTLE. Brain Octane comes in a plastic bottle, which is NOT good when you live in an area that gets hot in the summer (I'm in Southern California - inland area), so prepare for chemicals from the plastic to leach in the oil on hot days during delivery (that will not happen with glass).

Note: the first few times I took this on an empty stomach - I ended up with loose stools within less than 45 minutes (after taking one tablespoon). This is especially the case when taken first thing in the morning with warm/hot coffee. Some of you may need to take this with food, or start out with just 1 teaspoon instead of the serving size of 1 tablespoon. Also, make sure you are not sensitive to coconut oil. There is such a thing as coconut oil allergy/intolerance. I understand that coconut oil may have phenols and some people can have a hard time digesting phenols, so you may need to add a phenol (digestive) enzyme for that.

I'm eating eating Low Carb High Fat and did a fair amount of research online before deciding on this brand of MCT oil.
I use it in "bulletproof tea" as I don't drink coffee.
This oil seems to work well. No problems digesting and I believe it helps me feel satiated between meals. So much so, that I was able to do several 20 + hour intermittent fasts in a row while eating LCHF with zero hunger issues. I simply was not hungry! I'm very impressed.
Here is how I make my BP tea:
Bring water almost to a boil.
Put tea bag or ball into 20 oz SS vacuum insulated tumbler.
( Tumbler is Ozark Trail from Wal Mart $7.74, Exact same performance as a $29.99 Yeti tumbler :)
Add hot water to about 1.5 inches from top of tumbler. About 16 oz.
Let tea steep for about 3 or 4 minutes.
Remove tea bag / ball.
Add about:
1 tablespoon of KerryGold butter
1 tablespoon of MCT oil
1 large dollap of heavy whipping cream
A dash of nutmeg
A heavy sprinkle of cinnamon
Stir it well and Enjoy!

I vary the type of tea I use to change up the flavor.

Can't give a full report on the benefits as I have not been using for very long, but I like the way it doesn't upset my stomach and I feel like I am getting the extra boost in the morning I need. I put it in my Matcha tea and coffee, blends really well and makes it creamy. I was even able to drink coffee with just creamer and the oil and no sugar, that is huge, lol. I would recommend to start off slow, about a 1tsp a day and work up to the recommended dose. It took me about a week of baby steps to get up to the 1 tbsp and no issues since. Didn't happen to me, but a friend did the full dosage first day and it was a full detox day for my friend, lol. Figured I would share that little tip!
