Recently I purchase some Mauna Loa macadamia nuts which were very good. These were fairly similar to the Now Real Food brand, but had much less salt content. I’m not sure if it is consistent or if the Mauna Loa ones that I got were an off batch. Personally, I prefer having less salt, so the Now Real Food macadamias were a little too salty for my taste. They still were fresh and had a good crunch to them though and besides the salt they had a similar taste to the Mauna Loa. One really good thing about this product is that it only has two ingredients, macadamia nuts and salt. There aren’t any unsavory additives like “natural flavoring” which is a plus in my book.

According to facty.com these are the ten benefits of macadamia notes: brain health, anemia prevention (due to iron), improved blood sugar levels, good source of fiber for gut health, heart health, bone health, stress relief, hair strengthening, and skin health.

I can’t attest to any of that, but if you’re interested feel free to investigate further to see if any of the benefits have merit and may be beneficial to your diet.

Overall recommend these, just watch out for the salt and maybe limit your snacking size if too much sodium is something you’re trying to avoid.
