You get what you pay for. I wanted to upgrade my Kelty 4 person tent. When I realized an 8 person goes for an average of 600+ I started looking for cheaper options. A tent is a Home. It should feel like home. You should never skimp on shelter.
Upon receiving the box which was little beat up, everything looked virtually new except the poles. They looked used. They were chipped and dirty. I was leaving for camp in 3 days so I didn't have time to ship this back and everything else looked okay.
This did hold up in the rain with no leakage. Camping in Michigan for 5 nights end of June. It did storm a few times. Rain ok. Wind got me a little worried I was going to blow away. There is no way to vent this tent during the daytime heat and still have any sort of privacy. Actually there are even "holes" on each side of the door where the netting is and rain tarp don't quite meet, which allows someone outside from the right angle to see right in. I just had to be sure to not stand in either of those angles when changing my clothes. I'm sure some still got a show until I realized it!
This tent is like a moth magnet. Even with no lights on the moths were attracted to this tent. I felt like I was in a horror movie seeing them all while laying there trying to go to sleep, after I had caught several and put them outside. No idea how they got inside then tent. There must be a hole somewhere I can't find.
Upon take down, one of the poles came out broken. I should think the poles should at least last a few uses before they break. Just reiterates, I think this was a used tent that I got stuck with.
All in all I am very disappointed I wasted 300 on this tent. The reviews were great. I even found on consumer reports which is why I bought this one. Just very disappointed in the quality. I don't expect this one to last many uses. Save your $300 and invest in a better company.

All in all, I am very pleased with the purchase and would definitely look to purchase outdoor products from this manufacturer in the future.
Some things I wish were different:
1) There is only one window, which is the major reason I can't give the tent 5 stars. A window at the back would be really good for ventilation. Despite this, it was less humid than I would have expected in the tent, because the whole top of the inner portion (without the fly) is mesh. So I can imagine that if you are expecting no rain, and can leave the fly off, it would be absolutely wonderful. Even with the fly on, it's brighter and more well-ventilated than I'd expected with only one window.
2) The awning built into the rain fly that hangs over the entrance droops and is not useful/gets in the way unless you have the rainfly on exactly right. If you've got it too far to the front, even by a little bit, this problem occurs.
3) There are no clear provided instructions for how to use the guy lines.
4) In addition to the pouches, some small plastic hooks on the walls would be very useful, or a clothes line of some sort going across the tent. Several times I wanted to hang up a lightweight shirt, but there was nowhere to do this. This isn't a complaint, so much as an idea, as I have not seen this feature in other tents either. I may try to rig this myself using adhesive velcro strips and light hooks.

I'd give this 4.5 stars if that was an option. In general it's a really great tent--spacious, pretty bright inside, no smell even right out of the box, and WATERPROOF. We had torrential downpours during our trip and not a drop of water got inside. This was without any additional treatment to the tent, such as additional waterproofing. The mesh is really high quality, easy to see out but hard to see in. It was simple and fast for us to set up with two people, and easy to put back in the bag. Small details, like pouches along the walls, an included lantern (great) and a hook to hold it up on the ceiling, make the tent even nicer. Going from a 5 person tent to this one made all the difference in enjoying camping with a kid, as we had room for comfortable sleeping arrangements for everyone plus all our gear. We even had space to keep firewood inside so it'd stay dry. If you needed to, you certainly could fit 3 queen sized air mattresses inside, though there wouldn't be as much room for other things.By Rozmin on July 5, 2017

El único problema que le veo y por eso no le pongo un 5 es que no tiene un avance que proteja la puerta de entrada de la lluvia, ya que si está lloviendo, al abrir la puerta te entra algo de agua dentro.
En cuanto a impermeabilidad, no tuvimos problemas, va perfecta.
