The packaging was very poor and just wrapped in a plastic bag. However, the picture on Amazon shows it next to a box type container which it was not received in. Therefore, the product description photo does not match what I received. There were no instructions included to reference baking temp, washing instructions etc. There is print on the bottom of each mold but it is so small that I cannot make it out. Most importantly the smell of the product was overwhelming. I own several silicone kitchen items and even more so now that I have a young child and not once did I encounter a smell as potent as this. I was told to "air it out". I have never purchased a silicone product that needed to be "aired out" because of the smell being that strong.

Unfortunately, I am going to keep this product because it will cost more to ship back. DON"T BUY THIS ITEM.

These are GREAT baking cups

These are GREAT baking cups. But be sure they come from The New York Baking Company, as they are pictured in the cups kraft box. I had thought I ordered from them the first time, but my order was somehow picked up by a company in China and I waited over three weeks. In the meantime I reordered, being sure it was The New York Baking Company. The cups are good quality and unlike others, I find them very easy to clean. I soak them in a sink of soapy water and if anything sticks after turning them inside out and giving them a gentle wipe with a sponge, I use a toothbrush to clean the grooves.

I have used these for muffins and mini cheesecakes. I wasn't sure about the cheesecakes, but the silicone peels back so easily. Also using for my grandson's baby food. After we cook and puree green beans, carrots, etc. pour into the muffin cups and freeze. They pop out easily and are a perfect serving size. I can think of so many uses -- a fun way to serve a snack to a 4-year old as well as muffins, mini cakes.

I've ordered two sets of 24 (one for my daughter) I'm so happy with them. Just be sure they are The New York Baking Company and fulfilled by Amazon

Pretty and bright colors are different shades or opacities of blue, pink, green, orange as I purchased two packs on different days. Great way to limit buying the disposable ones and the cupcakes come out easily. Painful to wash and clean unless you have that baby bottle brush.

I depend heavily on reviews when purchasing items on Amazon so felt I should take my turn in reviewing. I have used these muffin silicone cups several times in the last few weeks making breakfast muffins and am very happy with the purchase. First I have no problems with muffins sticking - particularly if you let them cool in the cups. I have been spraying them with oil but I tried one without today and did not stick. Second clean up is easy - not as easy as throwing away the paper ones I had been using, but still not bad. I put them in soapy water and use a rag to clean in an out then let them air dry on paper towel. I even put them under the broiler a few times to brown muffins and they held up great.

Saved the muffins from utter destruction

I bought these to save my no-grain muffin batters from sticking to the paper liners. I hated seeing the expensive ingredients adhere themselves to the paper and watching my kids try to scrape it off with their teeth like crazy chipmunks. Enter silicone baking cups. I have used them many times for many variations of flax, almond, and coconut flours and they have never stuck. They pop out easily. I washed them before using and let them air dry. There has never been a weird smell or chemical taste. I continue to wash them by hand and air dry. Okay, I really just soak them in a sink of soapy water and swipe them with a dishcloth. There's really not much effort involved.

I saw that there were some concerns that these were not 100% silicone. I'm not an expert but I have pinched these many times and have never seen any white. These particular baking cups don't hold their shape quite as well as the other brand I bought. If they are smashed up on a cookie sheet they look smashed. But that's more 'user error' than the products fault. They can get a little 'fat' looking, meaning that depending on the batter, the cup spreads out instead of staying in the original shape. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Amazing cupcake liners

These silicone cupcake liners are great. I bake quite a bit. However, I've never purchased the paper cupcake liners. Doesn't make sense to me. Just one way to throw away your money. Anyway, as a result, I've been using a non-stick muffin tray to bake. It works for the most part. Except when you're taking out the muffin/cupcakes/tarts. Actually, tarts are easy as long as the sugar doesn't burn on the pan. Otherwise, it takes a lot of effort to remove the baked goods from the muffin tray.

When I received the cupcake liners, I compared them to the cupcake liners our neighbour used to bake some chocolate cupcakes. They appeared to be the same size. They aren't the big size like they appear in the product picture. I suppose, it's a trick of photography and the fact there is nothing in the background to compare them to.

They felt a little flimsy, but paper cupcake liners are more flimsy and people managed to use them with no problems. Though, they probably inserted them into a muffin tray first.

The cupcake liners were easy to wash. There wasn't any residue from what I could feel.

After they were washed and dried, I decided to make a batch of muffins. I took twelve liners and placed them on a baking sheet. I mixed the batter and divided them into the liners. First thing I noticed, the liners being smaller, was noticeable as I had extra batter after filling the twelve liners. Normally, when I use the muffin tray, the batter is just enough to fill the twelve slots. In this instance, I needed 3 more liners. That's okay as I ended up with 15 smaller muffins instead of 12 small muffins. Despite feeling flimsy, the liners are capable of holding the batter and keeping its shape on the baking sheet.

The silicone didn't melt or warp or anything in the oven. There wasn't any discolouration removing them from the baking sheet. The muffins were also easy to separate from the liners. Actually, transporting the muffins from the baking sheet to the cooling rack helped me realize the muffins would be easy to remove as they were moving freely.

After waiting a while for the muffins to cool (2-3 minutes), I removed the liner from one muffin. It was very simple. I did the rest of the 15 muffins in a matter of seconds.

Washing the liners was easy too. Just used some soapy water and hand washed everything. With the muffin tray, I'd need to soak the tray and then once the burnt on crust was saturated enough, I would still need to scrub the tray clean. Even with scrubbing, there would still be some residue from whatever I baked. After these liners dried, I didn't see anything (aside from the signs of evaporated water droplets).

Overall, these liners are amazing. I really should have purchased these years ago instead of using the muffin tray for as long as I did.
