I can't say enough good things about this blush! I was hesitant to get a cream blush at first because I have oily skin and wasn't sure how well it would work for me. That said, on me, some powder blushes can highlight the pores on my cheeks, which isn't a look I want to go for - so I decided to give this a try.
Pros: There's something about the texture that still feels ever so slightly like a powder, but it applies so smoothly and flawlessly.
The color - I got Tickled, if the title of this review wasn't obvious enough ;) - is so, so amazing. It's a deep, corally pink color with slight golden, glowy highlights. I'm obsessed with it.
It is very highly pigmented, so it will last a long time and you'll get your money's worth, even though it wasn't expensive to begin with.
Even with oily skin and this being a cream blush, the color lasted for hours on me, which is always a good thing.
I want more, and will definitely be getting more. Highly recommend. As treats for yourself, birthday presents, stocking stuffers, you name it!
I've always had trouble finding a blush that truly lasts all day. The closest I've come was Tarte's 12-hour blush which lasted 6 hours at best, and was far too glittery for my taste. I picked up a few NYX cream blushes while they were on sale, and even though they are a quarter of the price of the Tarte blushes they are 10x better! They last longer than any blush I've ever tried, and most of the colors are completely matte. This gives a very natural looking flush to your cheeks.
The one con to NYX blushes is that the color they show on the website isn't even close to the actual color. On my screen this color looks closer to tan than pink. In person it is actually a soft pink with warm undertones. I suggest googling for some swatches before you purchase
Application tip - Having never used a cream blush before at first I had a difficult time getting an even application using my fingers. I did a bit of googling and found that many people recommended using a stippling brush. I purchased a cheap $3 brush from E.L.F. and it works fantastically! I dab the very tips in the blush and pat on the apples of my cheeks, layering a few times to get the color I want. This results in the most natural looking finish.
Overall I definitely recommend this blush if you're looking for a long-lasting matte blush.
I chose this NYX cream blush in the color "natural" after reading so many good reviews. Being very fair skinned, with light hair, I wasn't sure how the color would work, but I really like it! I would describe it in person as a peachy-rose tone. The lid opens with ease and snaps shut, to stay closed, the blush itself is very creamy and light, almost silky. I applied it using a brush, stippling first and then blending just on the apples of my cheeks. It really didn't take a lot of product to get the color perfect and it went onto the skin lighter than the palette appears. Using a beauty blender would work well too. It doesn't have a glittery shimmer, but I wouldn't call it totally matte either. It did last me all day, no touch ups needed and after years of wearing powdered blushes, I believe cream really is better.
Pro: Cruelty-free, appears natural and blends well. Cons: Doesn't include an applicator, I suggest picking up a stippling brush
I recommend this product if you really want color to last and look natural.
Purchased this blush in the color Boho Chic and the color is way lighter than the picture shown. I was expecting it too be darker but the pigment is very white based and pale sort of a baby pink color. I own this blush in Orange and glow and the colors are very pigmented and beautiful. I wont be able to use this shade however. Just beware the pictures aren't a good representation of the actual colors. I will definitely be purchasing any other blushes in store.
I am 66 years old and am working hard to keep my makeup looking fresh and becoming. I keep reading that I should be using a cream blush but I just could not find one that either stayed very long or had the right color. This one GLOW I am super impressed with. It is sort of a peachy pink and really lights up my face in a very natural way with that sheen I have lost and have been looking for. I also bought the NATURAL which is softer but equally as impressive. I definately will be back to buy these products again and would recommend to anyone. I am so glad that they are such a reasonable price and that Amazon sells them because in the stores I cant find them.
I got the natural color. I'm in my early 50's with light blonde hair and was afraid it was a bit too bright in the package. But once it was on, it blended flawlessly into my pale, fair skin. It looks so natural that I'll never go back to using my powder blush again. This cream is the way to go. No irritation, no settling into fine lines or pores, and only needed to apply once during the day, but really, I probably could gone without reapplying. Just loved the color so much, I wanted to refresh it. No sparklies, no caking, just looks like a natural, sunkissed color. Beautiful. I applied it over BareMinerals Complexion Rescue and I look 10 years younger. Love it!
ADDICTED to these NYX creams. I use them on my lips and all the colors are beautiful and highly pigmented from the creams to the frosts. Pics below shows from bottom-top: 'GLOW', 'HOT PINK', 'PINCHED'. Love them all but have already orders dupes of 'HOT PINK' and 'PINCHED'. The formula is very creamy and lasts a long time. I wear alone or over a lip pencil. Also, the frosted ones, 'PINCHED', doubles as a highlighter on the eyes/cheeks. Can't say enough about these cream blushes. The tin is quite shallow so order accordingly...a little def goes a long way; except in my case...lol. Thank you for this find and great value!!
