I like very much how this product looks, but it has a serious flaw with its card reader. The reader for the CF cards, is poorly designed, and the tracking rails that would guide the card onto the pins are too short. This makes it very easy to get the card off track, thus bending a pin or two. This happened a number of times, and I had to get a flashlight and use a ball point pen to straighten a pin. One time, however, it missed the track altogether, I believe, and as I twisted it to try and straighten, the whole section of the card reader containing the pins, came apart. Toast.
Now the most frustrating part. I went to the NZXT website to file a warranty claim, and I was told there would be a 24 hour turnaround. TWENTY TWO DAYS, not hours, later, I get a note telling me the problem was my fault, and there would be no warranty -

"I apologize for the delay in response. It seems that the force you used to insert the CF card had dislodged the internal pin structure by accident. While we hope that the card reader would still be working for you, accidents and damages are not covered under warranty and as such, we are powerless to help."

You can make your own decision on this, but it is not inexpensive, and the manufacturer has NO customer service, and will not stand behind their poorly designed product. You will also most likely have a failure at the CF card port unless you are very, very careful - and when it fails, the other readers won't work. But it does look good, and it occupies a hole in the faceplate, until I can replace it with a quality product. Caveat emptor!

Purchased & returned without installing. From description, it appeared that USB 3.0 was used for card reader as well as ports. Upon openning box, instructions indicated USB 3.0 is for the two ports and USB 2.0 is used for card reader. It would have looked real nice in my HAF XM

Both amateur & pro photographers who need a solid CF slot to download pictures need to avoid this product like the plague for one simple reason: they put the pins far too close to the front of the slot. As a result, the miniature rails along the side that normally guide the card smoothly into place become functionally useless, thereby making a bent pin(s) nearly impossible to avoid.

As far as their quality control goes, the USB ports were bent inward enough to make me wonder, if only for a moment, whether or not they were intentionally made to look like eyes. Shoddy indeed!

1. This thing looks good. Not just the outer mesh face, but the black pcb on the
inside, and the two cords are all black and sleeved.
2. Did I mention that it has only two cords, and the cords are long enough to
accommodate Full tower cases.
3. It offers USB 3.0. This is perfect for people with Newer Motherboards, with USB
3.0 headers, but Older cases without USB 3.0 connections like my Phantom NZXT.
4. It is compatible with the newest SDXC cards, and is functional right out of the
box.
I highly recommend this card reader if your Motherboard has a USB 3.0 header. If your Motherboard does not have this header I would look elsewhere unless you are ok with two non functioning USB 3.0 connections on the front of your case. The device has to connections. a usb header for the card reader, and a usb 3.0 header for the two usb 3.0 connections.

It worked as described. Make sure you understand that you need both a USB 2.0 header and a USB 3.0 header on your system board. The 3.0 header powers the USB 3 ports and the USB 2 header powers the memory card reader. Worked just long enough for the return period to expire. Then the memory card reader failed. Started by not reading inserted cards and then progressed to not detecting at all. Stick with a external memory card reader and a rear back plate with USB 3 ports. If you have USB 3 you have probably already realized that there are not many devices that use USB 3 and most likely you have front panel ports USB 3 ports that came with you pc in the first place.

This product could be a great product if it worked. I have been trying to get NZXT, for over 8 weeks, to respond to my e-mails or phone calls. Extremely lousy service. It seems as if their product has a short in it. Check their forum--other customers have been having a terrible time getting service from NZXT. Never again will I purchase an NZXT product. I believe Amazon should look into NZXT's lack of sevice!!

Received in a state of disrepair. The one capacitor or transistor or whatever it is on top of the board was broken away from it's soldered base tried to have it repaired but it only worked once and that's it. I noticed when I opened the box and looked the product over I could see that the one capacitor on the board was only being held to the board by only one of it's soldering points. What I believe happened was the heavy 3.0 usb cable that was wound up and place on top of it probably broke it loose when being shifted around during transport. I would send it back but just too too much trouble for me. I in no way recommend this product.

Works good, packed well. Hook up took 5 minutes. Cables are USB 2 for card reader and USB 3 for front panel USB 3 (2 outlet) hub which hooks to the motherboard USB3.
Mesh is very close to that on my Corsair 600T, Not perfect but plenty close that you can't tell from a few feet away.
Highly recommend this card reader. See photos above.

Update: So good I bought another for Wife's computer, True plug-and-play.
